David perry 1
Ive never built a Guillows kit before so this Stuka is my only reference but the quality is superb. Every piece fell out of the cut and every piece went exactly where it should. A very enjoyable build.
Paul De Tourtoulon
I built one in 1984 and fitted an OS .10 and Futaba mini servos in it, a fantastic flyer until a little girl stepped on it's tail,,,
Engine Doctor
I built the Guillows Piper Super Cruiser many years ago approx 20 inch span. The plan gave a choice of rubber power or a Cox 0.010 Back then minature stuff like servos etc were hard if not impossible to get at that size so any thought of rc conversion was out. It ended up as a hangar queen or should that be princess due to small size. A friend built a larger version after scalling my old plan for 20 glow 40 plus inch span. Cant remember what happened to that but it was heavy As for the Piper kit i found it was definately over engineered like most American designs. Ribs were 3/32 balsa where 3/64 would be ample and the spars were well oversize all fo a 20 inch model , but the bits had to be cut out like the old Kiel Kraft kits. Made a really nice model though. I still have a couple of their kits in the loft a Robin DR 400 but cant remember wath the other is.
