Cliff Bastow
Yesterday I visited Chatsworth House Christmas Market and there was a stand selling small free flight aircraft kits from the Vintage Model Company and bought a Sopwith Triplane kit with the idea of converting it to rc. Does anyone have any experience of these kits? First impressions are that it is very nicely designed and executed.

Rich Griff
Hi cliff, May I ask what radio gear/motor/battery combo were you thinking of using please ? Microaces stuff 1c powered ? Or Toprc stuff as used in their 400/450 wingspan warbird planes ? Still waiting for ETA of toprc gearboxes... Been informed volantex ones are direct replacement but 3 times the price ? ! Could anyone confirm volantex g/box is direct replacement for toprc one, and motor please ? Toprc stuff seems reasonably priced... Awaiting a calm dry day for bf109 mode 1 ( third time lucky saga to be told the day after...mode 1 issues partially sorted at the factory ) test flight...
