Pushycat mass build years ago. (2015) perhaps

I built this model years ago, but not flown as  other models took over lol. I need to know a few details please as I do not have a plan.

1, position of CoG

2, Prop size, for following motor Turnigy d2830/11 , 1000kv, 200watt ? May be over powered.

3, Read on forum years ago to launch at half speed due to torque roll !

4, Safety concerns during launch if any. Underarm launch ?

Hello FB3....do a search on the forum here,there is lots of info on the pushycat....it's pretty easy to launch underarm,and once in the air it's viceless....

Thanks Ken, got it. Sent for two props , 8x6 and 8x5, the latter one to see if it will slow the model to a pace suitable to my age lol.  Cheers.

Well done, it'll fly as slow as you want,it doesn't have any vices at all... originally it was designed for a brushed motor....have fun..

FB3...your model looks spot on...it'll be a goodin.... don't overthink the hand launch and landing....it fly's like a goodin....and won't catch you out..

Mine was a doddle, underarm lob, no severe torque roll and plenty throttle on.

Thanks both, the launch was the only thing that bothered me a little.  Feeling better already. Been flying over thirty years, every model scratch built, was cheaper than kits in those days, and  they ALL had wheels.lol Cheers

Thanks John, just wanted to see the arm action immediately after the launch.   Must keep away from that prop.

john beat me to it FB3...once you let go of the model it will fly itself away...your arm after the launch will continue up over towards your head...so be out of the way of the prop......maybe for your maiden,get someone else to launch it for you ....in case it is out of trim.....once you've done a launch,its pretty simple.

FB3....it says 6mm max on the flying instructions  I have for elevator and Ailerons ....
