Garry Pollard
Hi Can a speed air 40 be easily converted to electric Flight . Saw one fly with a 55 ic up front and was impressed. Anyone point me in the right direction Garry
winchweight
I don't see why not. You need a .40 equivalent motor, esc and batteries. That's it. I'd guess a setup like this wouldn't be far off the mark 40 sized leccy conversion
Garry Pollard
Thanks for that Shaun. I will get it priced up before the pound is worth nothing or have we already got there Garry

winchweight
Give George a call at www.4-max.co.uk and I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction. Or try BRC as well

Reno Racer
Gary, What did you end up using in the end? I am also about to convert mine to leccy. I have converted my UnoWot, Sig Wonder and Seagull Edge 540 (46 Size), although the Edge is uses the Turnigy 5055-600kv motor size leccy motor with 5S Lipo (similar to the Wot4 motor shown on the 4-max site. I would prefer a 4S Lipo and want perfermance consummate with a low wing sports trainer - i.e speed enough B cert; I have the Sig Wonder and EDF stuff for speed.
