Graff
During my convalescence after an eye surgery, I had to find something fun to do. Fortunately I had ordered a DW Eagle (the 1450 mm wingspan version). I started building it at lunchtime today and was finished this evening. A very nice kit. (Although they seem to have missed when printing it that an eagle should be brown, not purple...). Nothing that can't be fixed with a little painting though. It will be flown with a 3S 2200mah LiPo. Now I hope for a quick recovery and gentle winds.
Graff
I painted the eagle so it's ready for today's excursion. It looks way better when it's brown instead of purple. I'm really curious to see how it flies. Edited March 8 by Graff
Ron Gray
They fly quite well and certainly attract real ones (Buzzards and Red Kites) being particularly upsetting to the local crows.
Graff
They do attract red kites! I flew together with one for a very long time today. The C of G is very forward in the instructions. 60 mm. I moved it to 80 mm, and I can move it further back with no problems. It flies very good and loops with no issues at all. It flies good at 25% throttle. The 2200 mAh 3S Li-Po is more than enough... I will try a 1300 3S pack.
Jake Bullit
I've had one of these for a while great flyers, very relaxing.
