Rene Wallage
Does anyone have any experience with the PhoenixMP Pepperpot?
kc
It seems nobody has .....so far.... but it looks an attractive kit from a British maker and at a good price. Their website shows the plan and building instructions so you can see them before you buy.

Keith Berriman
Hi Rene I found the wing profile very thin so not much lift Good construction but tight for battery and esc
Gee Bee
I have built & flown a few of the PMP glider kits & they have been reasonable value for money models that are generally good flying models for sport/club enthusiasts. PMP is run by Stan Yeo, & he has been producing kits since the late 70's/early 80's, starting as what you would call a UK cottage industry. He has also had some of his designs published via the model magazines in the 70's. I've met Stan at some of the model shows in the past & he was always helpful. Similarly, I have used his mail order service in the past without any concerns. His kits used to have foam veneered wings, then he did a range of EPP kits, but more recently went back to traditional balsa/ply built up designs. The current kits are generally a redesign of the foam/veneered wing kits, where the wings are now traditional built up with ribs, LE, TE etc. & fully sheeted in 1/16th balsa (Wing skins). The aileron models have a servo in each wing panel to enable flap mixing or adjustment of differential with a computer transmitter (i.e. one with appropriate mixing - which these days represents most main brand products). This form of wing construction includes pre-cut servo mounts, which I think use Hi-Tec mini servos (I think they use HS-81, HS-82 - but as mentioned earlier in this thread you can download the kit instructions if you want to get more detail before committing to a purchase. I cannot offer any explanation for the lack of reply from Stan, other than to say that e-mail communications are not always reliable & bear in mind a sender's message can easily automatically end up in a 'Junk' folder at the recipient's address. If you live in the UK it might be worth telephoning if you wanted to place an order, or want further advice on a particular design/kit. Overall, I would say if you like the look of the model, then give it a try. You will get a traditionally built model that if built carefully should serve you well as a sport model. You would also be supporting a UK model business, which is a rare thing these days. All my favorite local model shops have ceased trading in the last 10-15 years - largely due to the influx of ARTFs & decline in traditional model building. Happy building & flying GB
