Clark Ross
can anyone tell me if it is possible to paint mylar covering material . what i want to do is cover the airplane in olive drab and then using brown or dark green paint a camoflog pattern over it. i am afraid the paint will peel. is there a paint that that will work.? my originel idea was to cover it with a covering that was camoflage but was unable to find it. clark /
Bob Cotsford
don't you just wipe over the areas you want to paint with Prymol etch primer from the Solarfilm people? Have a search for their site, I'm sure it's explained on there.

winchweight
I repainted my Seagull Sea Fury (the thread is on this forum under build blogs). I firstly rubbed it all down with Scotchbrite (grey not green as the kitchen stuff is way too coarse) to key the surface. I then wiped it all over with painters wipes to remove any oily residues from fingers etc. I then wiped it with a tack cloth to remove the last of the dust etc, then I painted it with Warbirds paints using a good quality sable hair brush. Easy peasy really and it still looks great!
Doug Ireland
Does Humbrol paint need to be thinned before being used in an air-brush? If so, by how much and with what?
