I've just spent a couple of hours searching and can't find anything either. Shame as I wanted one for my Hurricane!

that's exactly the style i need-for both york and mossie! York had papier-mache ones originally, but far too fiddly to be doing with that now..

If you are using electric power then you can use vacformed spinners with a ply backing plate. You can then either make your own plug and vacform with 1mm styrene or get somebody like Roly at Sarik Vacform to vac some for you?

I did this for my Sea Fury spinner

They are so light they don't really need to be accurately balanced.
Just don't stand your model on its nose

Again for electric only.

You could always turn some of your own from laminations of light balsa.
Temporary CA a ply backing with a bolt in its centre  to your laminations, stick it in a piller drill or a hand drill held firmly in a vice and  sand it down to shape.
Do wear a mask though since you will be generating plenty of dust, and goggles are a good idea too.

I did this to create a very pointy cone shaped spinner for my Fairey Gordon. Works well and it is in balance since it weighs little.
