  1. Hi Rich, How much would you charge for a copy of the uncanny plan, and would you be able to do it pdf? Cheers Steve
  2. Another good reason for all beginners to hone in on this is that this wonderful mag RCM&E Are giving away a free model aicraft simulater when you subscribe to the magazine! Now if only i can get access to the subscriber only content groan. SteveEdited By Steve Adams on 06/01/2014 22:53:07
  3. Hi Robert, Which addition of RCSI Mag was your Beaufighter featured in if you dont mind me asking? Great build BTW...Ive just been musing over TNs Miles Moniter from same magazine!
  4. Hi Rich, Is it worth having another crack with the ed about publishing the uncanny in 2014? If not then maybe try else where, just seems to good and flys to well to be forgotten about! Kind Regards SteveEdited By Steve Adams on 29/12/2013 00:52:16
  5. Hi David, and other Mods, hope u guys all had a fb christmas.Just a quick enquiry my partner bought me a years print subsciption to rcm&e the first mag i will get will be feb 14 issue. The sub no seems to be not active yet is there a reason for this,or will it only be active when i receive feb issue? Many thanks Steve. Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 27/12/2013 12:52:58
  6. Hi David, Please could you include me for the jig? As i dont want to be building any bananas! Thankyou Steve
  7. Mark i Would be interested in the Rat Out Of Hell on pdf. It would have to be ic for me as thats all i have from when i used to fly in the 1990s.I would love to jump on the electric band wagon asap, but funds dont permit as yet. So based on that i have to use what i have which is an Irvine 25TBR nib,MDS 38nib,or a well used Enya 40SS,and MDS 25 All two stroke motors.Which engine would you think is best for me to use in ROOH? as i dont really want a pylon racer, just a good sports flier! Kind Regards Steve PS - When would you be looking at the model being built from your plan, and will you send pdf to my email if i send you a pm?
  8. Mark your Rat Out Of Hell, reminds me so much of my RCM&E Rag Tag from 1990s.Sure it wouldnt win a beauty contests....having said that looks better than rag tag! I chose rag tag because at 60ins on a humble mds 25 engine it was amazing with a great glide to match.Even if your plan doesnt make mass build, send it in to the mag to silence the critics of so called ugly designs,i'd give it a go Regards Steve
  9. Now that really is awesome Tony! I absolutely love the Vulcan, such an iconic aircraft just like its elder sibling the Lancaster. Will the 48 and 78 versions be available the same time as this? The 48 one would be right up my street, and would still look quite large, thats the impression u get with deltas Best Regards Steve
  10. Thanks Guys for clearing that up for me I just hope that my FlySky 9 ch Tx i got last crimbo from my GFis as good as the FrSky systems! The only thing that baffles me a bit is why mine uses 8 AA batteries as aposed to my Sanwa Vangaurd 6ch Tx used a seald unit type battery in the 90s when i first started this wonderfull hobby. The Sanwa i still have in fact like new as well it was 35mhz btw
  11. Pat, Many thanks for that. Which would u think is better FrySky,or Flysky,or is it purely a preference thing? Many Thanks Again Steve
  12. Hi All Can anybody tell me what the difference between FrSky and FlySky 2.4Ghz Transmitters are? Is it a name change, and can stuff ie receivers and other components interchange? Please forgive my apparant arrogance as im new to this 2.4Ghz malarky!! Regards Steve
  13. Will do, If a packet of choc hob nobs do this for your inspiration, then im gonna need a box full!! he he Im looking at building a Zulu ET for my son soon as he,s eight tomorrow eeek. Cheers Oh ps where do u get your wood from selec etc?
  14. Hi Tony, Wow you,ve done it again! You have turned some rather uninspiring balsa + ply into yet another work of art.......+ so damm quick to! How do you do it my freind? I would really love to come and lean on your expertise real soon,if thats still ok? Sorry its been so long just tied up so much with family, work etc! Congrats again mate Steve
  15. Hi Linds, If the 60ins Goose is revived, then maybe the mag could do it as a freebie, then the larger one as a feature plan, back to back in same issue then perhaps the mag could be sold as a waterplane special, with history of the goose and waterplanes as a whole.....what do you think? Steve A SE 22 Heres hoping in the Goose Plans Dept!!
  16. Keep perserveering with the Beautiful Sipa Stephen, it,ll be worth the wait to see it in print. Something thats so different and refreshing is always worth the wait me thinks!! Kind REgards Steve A
  17. Wow Slovenia, that is interesting, CS it dosent have to be beautiful to be pioneering/ground breaking which is what it is. Jon yes there is a definate look of a twister in there thats for sure,i bet it must have one very efficiant wing, maybe even more so than some powered gliders. Certainly worthwhile as a model subject, and different i would say its the type of plane you would see Tim Hooper doing as elec, and different Kind Regards Steve
  18. Thats Amazing Martion, It could only have come from either America,Japan,or Germany with inovation like that!...I suppose the next question would be,how much longer before we see all electric airliners like the Airbus A380? I feel that may be a while yet. I just wish we in Britain could give our aerospace industry a reinvigouration like this. Lets face it we have given a lot to the world in the past TV,Hovercraft,Jet Engine Etc......................
  19. Hi Guys, Rather than start a new Thread(apologys for hijacking this one bill) but would anyone have a copy of Blue Two Funfly design by Glen Sutcliffe. It was featured as a free plan in Radio Modeller about 1995 and was about 40ins span with a 15 glow + 4 standard servos,to beg, borrow, steal or even a PDF? Many Thanks Steve
  20. Thats nice and unusual Bill, I also wonder if anyone has done or willing to do plans for the Virgin Galactic and its carrier plane. They would make truly interesting subjects, wouldnt they? The nearest to that ive seen in more recent years is Tim Hoopers Space Ship Too in another mag,i think Q&EFI
  21. Major, As Peter Miller and others have said, you really are spoilt for choice for models powered by cox engines as many were free plans in mags such as Radio Modeller,RCM&E,RCSA,RCMW Etc. Now thanks to small electric outrunner motors a lot of these great little models are being given a new lease of life by their owners. Chris Golds done a selection of scale models for cox motors, including a 4 engined HP Victor, and even more impressive was the 8 cox B52 Bomber all with homemade ducted fans!....but alas these 2 never made it into print,a real shame, however many did including a twin Me 110,A quad HP42 Airliner ect. Also worth considering are RCM&Es Blitz & Mini Blitz designs by D S Ridgeway they are quick buid deltas that flew ok,besides lack of wing section(flat plate)built up
  22. I will definatly be building Oodalally,as soon as work + family commitments allow! I have an Irvine 25 Mk3 abc(twin ball race) engine to go in this n.i.b although 15+ yrs old! This motor cost me 75quid back in the 90s(dear by 25 standards) and i beleive that a special(to me) British designed and made engine deserves an equally special British design to go in! Many Thanks for another wonderful design Peter,Keep em coming Kind Regards Steve
  23. I Think EDFs are great!! I would absolutely love to see more of them in magazines like rcm+e in the form of plans that is. I like prop jets to,but they just dont look and sound the same
  24. I used to fly on 35mhz only(sanwa vanguard) 6ch now i have made the leap with 2.4 tx + rx from Giant Shark. The only time i used to get glitches/interferance was when i flew up Chobham Common in Surrey, but not all of the time. I still have a brand new boxed Vanguard Tx + other bits that i will be selling soon, was my spare set that i never used. This is from the mid 1990s.
