Erfolg, I used two servos for flaps each havingt he same orientation and connected to a the gear channel through a Y lead, so altered as above. . Saved a channel.

The size of fuse is determined by the current rating of the SWA cable and should be less. Use an RCD. Unless its changed recently, certification is relevant in England but not for this type of work in Bonny Scotland

Crow Braking
Hamish replied to Steve Hargreaves - Moderator's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
My understanding is to visualise a crow landing. Wings up(Ailerons) feet down (Flaps) -
Phil I have no problems and am impressed with your memory even though its a bit on the dark side
-
I have bettered that Phil, on more than one occasion. That model flew again and was good experience in how to repair

What about the Red Box the Chancellor carries the budget in, £57,000.00 and bullet proof???

Get yourself a simulator and you will "teach" your fingers how to react and its easy to rebuild after a crash

Flights around New York parks and monuments

Same posting on another forum which did not suggest it had the "full approval of authorities" in fact took the line as being highly irresponsible. -
Hope not teaching how to suck eggs, but have you activated "dualaile" in "wingtailmix"?

I use one of the Orange Rx, which is marked for park fliers, in my Radian glider and am at least 200m out with no problems. Any more and would not see model

Micro SD Card For Gum Cam ?
Hamish replied to Phil May's topic in Aerial Photography, First Person View, UAVs
Good site here 808 KeyCam #3 with a class 6 card -
Unfortunately Eric that is not the answer to the original question, an alternative option, but not the answer. I have got to assume your brain has the sawdust cyano syndrome at the moment
-
I am afraid I cant agree with you Andy. If you consider intruder alarms, fire alarms, door entry system and similar type systems they do not have isolation transformers fitted when wired into different buildings.Perhaps once you have studied your Regs you can provide a definitive answer
-
Really intrigued Andy. What regulations would they be and would it need to be Part P notified?

Radian Pro - your thoughts?

Well Gaz you appear to be having your problems. I got one a few days ago and do not appear to be having the probs. you are. The Lipo fitted exactly where suggested and the CoG was Ok. Will admit a bit underpowered with the prop supplied. I had a 12x8 spare and tried that and it goes up like a homesick angel, way up to 200m in 29secs which is what I want for the E-Soaring competitions. Nice and easy to fly about and I am sure once I can find a thermal it will stay up for ages. What is V1? keep us informed on how you get on. -
I assume that before a multitude of receivers are bound to the same Tx they must all have a bind plug fitted?
-
VecchioThanks for the tip. The Rx is inbeded in a Zagi so a extension is not an option. I have the switch with socket fitted and fortunately as yet have not needed to rebind. As you say its easy to make a mistake, ie leave Tx switched on and flatten battery, to require a rebind but, I am trying to be more diligent.
-
If a battery says that it can be charged at 2C or 5C how can it be unsafe to charge it at the rated charge? I charge as rated and as yet have to see any reduction in output.
-
I am not sure if I totally agree with the "correct 2 wire cable. I have an Rx that is inbeded in the model and if I had to rebind then it would mean digging it out. Have as yet not needed to rebind, but would hope I could by using this switch manage.

A bit more detail required.

If its an electric powered model you should get somebody to restrain it, or tie it down, just in case there is a glitch when you are on low power. Have you flown models before?Edited By Hamish McNab on 08/01/2011 20:25:20

Bonjour Trusty. Welcome to rc flying and I hope all the above is helping you. Do you have a club near you as if you go along you will get wealth of knowledge and experience for free. If you have not flown a model before then a member will check it over, take it up and trim it out. I you try on your own there is nothing surer than you will end up with firewood. Most of all take your time and enjoy.

Steve, can you explain this please "Motors heat up as a result of power, not volts or amps, and efficiency, ie the lower the efficiency under certain operating conditions, the more power is dissipated as heat."Edited By Hamish McNab on 30/12/2010 15:34:10

I did not begrudge the £7, however it can add up. My first return was as a result of me dropping Tx and damaging stick pot, which I had repaired but not totally satisfactorily and returned it to Horizon as it needed recalibrated, which was done FOC and as it was my fault no problems about £7 Next repair was the roller which I repaired myself. In this instance my repair was a disaster as I got cyno in microswitch however Horizon provided the pcb, again FOC. Trim switch then broke and again Horizon provided FOC. Fortunately I am able to repair, but at £7 a go, the costs can mount up if the unit had to be returned every time. I cannot fault Horizon for their service and the one for one position is even better, but these faults are due to design weaknesses that should be remedied.

"it's a one for one swap on your doorstep from Horizon" This must be new as it cost me over £7 to post. If you are needing a step by step guide Darren I would suggest you return it to Horizon as they are very quick and it will be back within a matter of days.
