I've had to cancel my first ever trip to the Orme today due to being in work, but just seen the forecast and unfortunately it's not looking the best for you guys Anyway enjoy what flying you manage to fit in between the rain and have fun.

Ouch, that hurt Peter 😅

Thanks guys. It had the air intakes open but have been blanked with balsa and the exhaust out lets are open so maybe it was planned for EDF. I don't see any sign of old fixing points inside for motor mounts etc so maybe she has always been used on the slopes...Who knows. Andy, it will have, to the best of my ability, a detailed cockpit with a pair of pilots. Just need to find some decent photos and work out how to build one. It is going to have a colour change and not yet sure what route to go down....maybe RAF but then again I'm sure the Blue Angels flew them.

Are you an active slope soarer?

With models like these and this as your flying site, who needs a motor. -

I second that -
Good morning fellow loons 😆 I wonder if anyone is able to help. I'm after as much information about a model I'm about to aquire, a Leicester Models F4 Phantom. It is approximately 4' span with foam wing and with a fibre glass fusalage. I think it was originally designed for power flight. I've looked on line but keep turning a blank.

Thank you Mark, I'll watch that later. Edited By Phil May on 25/05/2016 21:19:34

Ahhh, that's made my day Andy 💙

Me neither Steve. Maybe it was our visitors taking the rain back where it came from originally 😆

It was a great days flying and nice to meet some new faces (to me) Quality of the models present were fantastic and I'm looking forward to owning my first proper pss models. Thank you Steve for organising this event.

Morning guys. In a few weeks I'll be picking up this 48" span F4 PSS model and considering fitting some scale navigation led's. Having never fitted these before can anyone advise me on how and what I need. I want them to be bright enough to be seen clearly in daylight. Thank you guys

Only fly the slopes, well it would be rude not to take advantage of the awesome slopes in South Wales. -
I put a small elastic band around it. But the dam thing is jamming on release (nothing to do with the elastic band ) on the verge of giving up with it

Thanks Ken. I also use Hitec and have both single and twin ariel rx's. My plan is to fit the rx in the fuz with the antenna pointing vertical in the canopy or if using a twin antenna then one vertical and one at 90 degreesm again in the canopy.

Excellent photos guys and superb models. I'll be rather embarrassed with my tosh at the Bwlch next month 😣
