Hi guys,
I wonder if I could pick your brains please?
I have a Flyingwings Spectre foamie ( similar to a W.T ) which is a great model, maybe not as good as a Wildy in some ways, but it certainly flies better in the lighter lift days than the present version.
Anyway, it is a light model, less than 700 g's and I'm considering fitting a ballast tube in it as I feel it has the potential to fly faster on the 'bigger' days.
Fitting this is easy enough but the best place to fit would be on c of g recessed in top of the wing/fuz instead of underneath, mainly because there is more 'meat' there to house the ballast tube.
Is it ok to fit weight in the upper section of the model?
I should be able to increase it's weight by up to approximately 350g's for those big days.
Cheers guys
Phil
