Have you looked at this one

Re batteries, I started out using Overlander 25C batteries and found that they quickly started to swell. I changed to Hobby Kings Turnigy Nano-tech 35c batteries and I have had no recurrance. Sadly, I lost my beloved Extra yesterday. I let it get too far away from me whilst I was re trimming the ailerons and couldn't get it back. My fault I think.

If you want a bung it in the car for a quick flight model that flies well and bounces a bit without breaking, then the Parkzone Extra 300 is great. The only thing I would say is use 30 or 35C cells. anything lower risks the cells puffing up.

Phoenix 2000 throws
Alan Randall replied to Nev Haycox's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
I did the same as David. I did look at the throws though and set some rates as a fall back measure incase I was not happy with it. I think I set them at about 80%, but I'm flying on the box settings. One thing I havent suffered from is the lovesick angel climb on full throttle that some appear to have experienced. My climbs at a nice attitude without risk of a stall. -
Do you think i should have to pay for this ?
Alan Randall replied to Lee Smalley's topic in Spektrum/JR
I would say no if it is their firmware download that did it. I had a similar problem with a TomTom download, but TomTom sorted a fix for me which I had to down load. -
I used nylon bolts on a kit built WOT4 many years ago, when I was learning to fly. My landings were a touch on the rough side, as they often are when you are at that stage of learning, and the nylon bolts often broke and damaged the underside of the plane. I moved to steel bolts and never had a problem. Neither did I pull the undercarriage plate out. At one time they used to recommend steel bolts partly sawn through to create a break point.

The AR6000 works with the old DX7 but not with the DX6i, DX7S & DX8 etc.

As someone else has lifted this posting from the depths, I will just comment that nearly 2 months on and the silence from HK is deafening.

A couple of years or so ago I seem to recall that someone did a similar job on the KK Marquis, and I am sure it became a free plan. It might be worth looking at this to see how they approached it. Unfortunately it appears difficult to do a sort on the plans section on this web site to find it..

Does your club allow you to fly alone?
Alan Randall replied to graeme jones's topic in All Things Model Flying
The owners of our site; Rolls Royce, forbid solo flying, and we have had to suspend at least one member doing it. It is forbidden on H&S grounds due to the remoteness of our flying areas, and the impact accidenst would have on the Company. -
No problem with my Dx8 that I am aware of.

With my very much better half (or so she tells me)

Obviously I didn't take such a literal view and took the statement in context with the rest of the slide subjects.

So what, or am I missing something. Ebay is crammed with people wanting to sell things that other people think are odd. Many of them are on the RC pages.

What type of aircraft do you fly the most?
Alan Randall replied to David Ashby - Moderator's topic in Model Flying Polls
When its a case of grabbing a quick hour or so, then I take the Parkzone Extra foamy. If there is more time, then a WOT4, RV9 or soon an electric glider and a Corsair goes along too.
