Funny you should say that Robert. We may have crossed paths as I've been doing the Dartmoor 2 Day XC for the best part of 30 years. You must remember the likes of Fred Lacey, Sean Bannister, Bob Flood, Martin Lucas, Roger ????? always flew scale and Chris Bowles.

Sorry MattyB. I know I'm very lucky. By the same token I have deep regret that I let go an unbuilt MPX DG 300 a few years ago.

My refitted Alpina on Cox Tor, Dartmoor after it's remaiden 3 years ago. (If that is a word) Owned since the late 80s or early 90s. It had a new wing early on after a fence post intrusion. There is something about it's presence in the air. Not a model I will ever part with.

Just nice to see model aircraft stuff on TV. Cant be overly critical. Good job the guy ripping that draw thing apart with a screwdriver didn't end up with the model. Would be interesting to hear the real inside story. I was also a bit surprised to some fruit coloured equipment being installed.

Things that have dropped off in flight

The airframe shock caused by Action Man exiting resulted in the battery hatch following suit. Both were recovered. -

Do these count. -
I absolutely accept the risk of transmission in close contact unavoidable situations but reading the latest guidelines I consider a short trip to my local flying site a damm site safer than a supermarket shopping trip and a whole lot better for my mental health and wellbeing

Hi Piers. Big one is the Precedent 1/3 built from the kit with an ASP 120 twin FS. Baby brother has an OS 3O FS, It was an EBay buy about 7 years ago but I'm not sure about it's origin but it flew very well. I think the power is very scale. It was a useful exercise as I had a struggle to reaquaint models with their correct wing tubes etc. They all got a clean . Regards

I'll be deep cleaning my Shed next week so I thought, for posterity, I'd record the event by assembling all my inventory in the garden for a photo call I'll post a picture next week but thought I'd get the ball rolling. It'd be great to see what you all have hidden away.

Anyone still using a balsa stripper?
Devcon1 replied to David perry 1's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
Still use a Slec. Found a great alternative use for it to slice strips of 8mm insulation for my Campervan floor. Had to make lots of various sizes to fill the gaps in the ribbed floor. -
Ate into my plastic stash and built myself an allotment weather vane. 1/32 Revell. A 48 hour build. A fantastic thermal indicator.

Is this weather ever going to get better!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Devcon1 replied to tigerman's topic in All Things Model Flying
It is but taking advantage is not so easy. Had to open my own PH, meets all the PHE guidelines -
