  1. How about buying a small amount of new fuel, set the engines up and then refill to test your old fuel ??
  2. Hi Alan If I am not to mistaken MT Quickfire at 16% is what is used in the nitro cars, did they not have any 5% fuel in stock ?? At least with 16% the tick over and pick up should be good I assume other comments may follow

  4. Should I be concerned as MHS and Giant Shark are the same link I ordered a Galaxy Areojet all went through okay but as yet not seen the Kit ringing the help line on various numbers is boring as no one answers

  8. Hi Mike Have you got the battery mounted in the tank bay? or even fixed to the motor mount. I have had to do this in my ARTF Acro Wot . I have seen people move the servo bay forward on ply plate so that can it be removed if access to tank is needed
  9. Okay reading this thread with interest I am at the stage where I think my 12v 7A lead acid battery has had its day as when I put my starter cone onto the motor its a no go ( Irvine 46 or 40 ) so its a matter of spinning the starter and surprise the engine after priming etc. Yesterday I set up a 3S 2650 spare Lipo with 95% charge and I still had the cone not able to turn the engine is my starter on its way out ? I await any comments
  10. Hi Jim I have the Acro Wot ARTF and a previous Kit Build and flown on a 46 ( Irvine & OS ) I feel these are the better engine to start with to get a total appreciation of the planes capabilities. Putting a larger 55 in makes the plane very sensitive and quick.
  11. Reading this thread it has just reminded me about a similar problem I had in that the balance wire had come adrift from the cell. Looking at the cell voltage on remaining two it not looking good. If you can test the battery pack across the output leads it will confirm if the cell has self destructed
  12. I have used with good success m2 rod inserted into carbon fibre rod and drop of thin super glue and work into the hole in the rod. You have the choice of plain rod for Z bend or threaded rod
  13. A club member built this and at the maiden I was impressed. 5 mins flat out on 2200 3S or 7 mins with some gentle flights and gliding. Self launch is easy and does all my tricks. So we have two live ones and two more to build and one in Cheshire ( No need for the rudders )
  14. I use a standard 4000 mAH ( Large ) NiMH Cell without any problems
  15. I have added my vote my LMS Leeds its less than 5 miles away and I only have to go 6.5 miles to the flying field
  16. Hi There I had a similar problem develop on a Futaba FF6 ( Appreciated it was 35 Meg ) losing four planes as described I put it down to dirt or wear on the potentiometer's on the sticks and had to bight the bullet on by a new Transmitter. I had gone through new batteries. ariel, crystals etc. it looks like a transmitter problem more than module as you have the same fault. Any chance the cable to the aerial is damaged from the module to the short stub as it has to be turned up for flight ? Edited By RC Plane Flyer on 16/02/2015 09:40:37
  17. Sorry for two post but here's the Alpha Jet I have built mine without rudder www.frcfoamies.com%2Falpha-jet-mk 2 Edited By RC Plane Flyer on 06/02/2015 11:20:03
  18. How about an Alpha Jet Mk2 Search on Google Built and flown on this week what fun. It looks fast and can be 2/3 throttle for hand launch and throttle back for fun or reactions Unable to up load photo as yet. 2 sheets 6mm Depron 1 2200kv motor on 6x4 prop, 2 servos, 40 amp ESC 2200 3S Lipo
  19. To All respondents Thank You for your comments the motor is the DYS range and leaflet says 7x4 on 2S Cells ??
  20. Any Suggestion Please Having purchased a small electric motor rated at 2200KV and 340Watt on a 6x4 Prop 3S I am unable to get near this First 6x4 E Max Prop gave 240W second APC 6x4 prop 235W third EMP 6x5 220W fourth APC 6x5.5 212W all on freshly charged 3S 30C Lipo. Double checked ESC Set up for full throttle on initial start up
  21. I noticed this on my model some time ago and after having residue oil drip on something special when the plane was held up vertical. I did cut a small groove in the outer edge of the  cone so the oil could be blown out under power, the groove was placed at the bottom of the silencer. No loss of power noticed Edited By RC Plane Flyer on 30/01/2015 13:55:35
  22. How about INH = " Not Active " ???
  23. Hi There In my Hitec TX Inhibit means "Not Turned On" does this make sense ?
  24. Spikey Best way to solve this problem unless your are an electrician is to ditch the Twin Extension and buy a new one Somewhere there is a loose connection that's creating the problem when switching on the Blanket in the extension or the plug top
