This looks great, I would want to be able to download code for Brian Taylors scale models though and the work involved in doing this would be massive.

I have a laser machine that I bought on Ebay from China. Very happy with it, buy the most powerful laser you can afford and I wouldn't use the benbox software that comes with it either. I use Bencutlaser and it is very ease to use. There is a dedicated forum and Ralph the site admin answers all queries. Regards James -

Posted by David Mellor on 01/05/2019 14:07:28: Posted by MattyB on 01/05/2019 13:21:14: We are such a small minority interest it is near impossible for the national assciations to protect our rights effectively against authorities seeking to trample all over them. And getting smaller. I've just returned from the waste/recycling centre. Most of my airframes are now en route to landfill. My annual savings (starting next year) will be around £130 pa (club fees, BMFA, registration) plus fuel costs for the 60 mile round trip to my nearest flying field. A really big bonus is the amount of space freed up in the garage and shed. It is wonderfully cathartic. OMG - so sad. I will give the new system a go. I have been doing this since the 1980s and will comply until they ban us. Then I will carry on anyway. F*ck 'em. -

Would twitter be a good place to raise this? Steve Baker MP (an Aero grad before parliament) is active on there as are many MPs (Grayling isn't). Maybe some spent time in our hobby in their youth? -
If anyone is interested in building the Flair Pup from plans, I have just found them on Aerofred: https://aerofred.com/details.php?image_id=97086 I might be tempted to purchase an alloy saucepan and scale the plans a bit to fit it. James

This thread should be renamed 'remotely polluting vehicles'.

This is prescient as I tried to email them a couple of days ago. Still not received a response. Hope this is just a blip. -
Lucky enough to have my own flying field, but I have seen a definite increase in interest from moles and rabbits since the program was broadcast, not a coincidence surely.
-
This is wonderful news, lets hope it encourages more flyers to join one of the associations and thus do the sensible thing and be covered by insurance. I can get my DB Rookie in the air now and hunt some thermals.

I hold my nose up and down and give it a shake. I must be mad.

As I said, we don't fly drones and the government has also noted this distinction. Well done to all those that have written to their MPs and kept the issue alive.

Posted by Tom Thomas on 07/06/2018 03:29:04: O.k, I have my Radian ready to launch.... I'm in a farmers field..... I launch..... when do I stop climbing? Without telemetry I don't know just how high I am! This whole mess is ridiculous, I can't nor will I bow to this utter nonsense. +1

Just a few days ago a B17 flew very low over my house ( just a few miles south of Wisbech), I couldn't help but shout 'yeah!' like an overgrown schoolboy lol.

Thank you for the clarification David.

The language is interesting. I for one have never flown a drone, only model aircraft. Even plod can differentiate between the two. I predict some positive news for us model aircraft flyers.

This is so true, I spent ages looking for an artf Mustang P-51 .60 size and had no luck at all on my budget. So I have started building my own based on Ziroli drawings but simplified to fun scale.

Thanks Bob, I have learnt a fair bit from web searches the last couple of days. From what I have learnt, the aerial slides into the case side for storage. If it is present when I receive the Tx . I can just purchase a 35mhz module and refit the aerial, then use my 35mhz Rx's. In theory. I have found a seller (Robotbirds) that has them for £70, does this seem reasonable? I am undicided at the moment which way to go. I could go for Fasst Rx instead, but I was thinking of hacking a Frsky DIY module and using that. Decisions, decisions lol. Regards James

Hi Guys, I have bought a 14mz tx with a fasst module from ebay, thing is I have a load of 35mhz rx's that I would like to use with it. Do I need an fm module to plug in the back in place of the 2.4? The tx hasn't arrived yet so I can't do any tests Happy Easter James Edited By James Green2 on 17/04/2017 08:14:59

Is traditional building a disappearing art?

Not for me now I have a laser cnc to make my own kits. Free plans on Outerzone have made this hobby affordable again. -
Hi All, I came across this great little program when surfing the web yesterday, it is a very simple pdf tiler to allow the printing of large pdf plans on an A4 printer: **LINK** thanks James
