Obviously not many family units in clubs today. Error found to be one extra letter in the addresses of the two juniors compared to the Senior, so computer decides they are not a family unit. Corrected the error and all is now completed. John

I do the BMFA renewals for the majority of our club members. With the new portal it is fairly straightforward. WhereI have struggled for a few years is renewing Family Juniors. I only had two and one no trouble but the other would only come up as a Junior not Family Junior so the price was incorrect. It turned out there was a very minor difference in the addresses between the Seniot and the Junior so finally got it sorted. This year I have for the first time got a Senior and two Family Juniors to join and pay for. Joining was not too much hasssle but I'm back to the same problem of not coming up as Family Juniors. Julie in the BMFA office has sorted me out now (I hope as still to complete). Does anyone else have the same trouble. In my minds eye I can see Julie and Helen - two very patient ladies, saying "it's him again" and rolling their eyes down the phone. John

Wings and Wheels, North Weald
John Tee replied to Flying Squirrel's topic in Shows, Club Events and Competitions
Did the bring and buy accept card payment? First model I saw as I approched the start of the slope was £800 plus. Who takes that sort of money to a bring and buy? John -

I think the racing Gods are trying to tell me something. Two races ago I forgot my predictions, last race I did them positive I saved them but not saved after the race. Today getting set up to watch the race and at ten to seven a power cut so no tv or recorder. Came back on just at the end of the formation lap so in the end saw all the race. What will go wrong for the next race>? John (probably getting further behind in last place) edited for poor typing.

somewhat annoyed after last week forgetting to do my predictions ,so I did a quick selection Thursday. I definitely saved them and didn't feel the need to change anything, so left as was. Checked after a reasonable time and the Fantasygp site said I had no predictions saved. This happened twice last season. Will definitely be checking the night before the race from now on. Well done John S, Iqon and Pete John

I thought this was done in RCM&E last year. May not have been Gypsy but was Keil Kraft. John -

John Tee replied to Andy Stephenson's topic in Report A Problem
Was having problems changing pages then saw KC post about themes . Change to default - end of problem. Didn't realise I was on darker whatever that is as it looks no different. John -

I was expecting a woodworking router. There had been a mix up with the shop and it was delayed. That sorted out I had an email saying it would be delivered between 15.58 and 16.58 last Saturday which timing suited me fine. Saturday I checked the tracking and all ok, then got an email stayting that it would now be delivered Monday, which while disappointing was no problem. I had literally only just finished reading the mail and telling my wife that it was now Monday when the doorbell rang and there was DPD with my parcel (16.15p.m.). It seems the computer system is sometimes to blame not always the courier who is on the recieving end of complaints.

Fantasygp site has me down to 14th with 97 points instead of 105. Only one way to go (I hope)

Is this the end of aeromodelling?
John Tee replied to Clarence Ragland's topic in All Things Model Flying
Peter, "I also remember having to buy a radio licence and could fly pretty much where I wanted again mostly on my own." When I had to buy my licence I had to stipulate which Post office I was going to fly near (I think 3 mile radius) John -
That looks a bit complicated to my old brain. Have to trust Fantasygp get it right. Might make more work for John lots of extra bonus points. John it is in the how to play section of Fantasygp site. not good at links sorry. John

Does anyone remember the joining code. I have selected my team and drivers and then clicked the wrong button and removed myself from the league, which also removed all the posts for the league and so had to do a search to find us all again. it will be a bit long winded going through all the posts again. john

I have several Volontex models with 3 position gyros but I find the opposite to Paul. OK in first two gyro modes but put the Tx switch in the off position and it becomes a real handful to fly, just breathing on the stick move the model violently. Cant adjust the movement on the control horns as easily as a "normal" model. John

I would imagine there would be slots at the hinges to allow the aileron to move upwards. John
