  1. The Dennis Bryant Chippie is on my todo list, 80 4s ic equipped, after I'd gained a bit more building experience! If I can get my shed erected and organised in time then yes I'll get the build experience with the Chippie along side the mods!
  2. Hi David, going to be nice when it's sorted! One query though, are the walls solid concrete, cause if they are, aren't they gonna radiate a lot of cold in the winter, and cost a bit to warm up! Did you have any thought of insulating them, or were you going to wait & watch the thermometer?
  3. Welcome back into the fold and to the forum Mike. Your progress by the looks of the photos is going well. What are you planning on powering the Elf with? Have you joined a local model club , they will be able to offer help and advice for that first successful sortie! Goog luck with the rest of the build & your maiden! 4. The Depron bug certainly bitten you hard! Look forward to following your new build blog.
  5. Has anyone else noticed in the Tony Nijhuis advert, under what's NEW, the plan for the 61" P-51B Mustang is £2000! Edited By Glenn Stratton on 12/03/2014 09:06:49
  6. Hi Robert, having followed your excellent build blog, & your wood list is handy too, and depending on how yours turns out, and if I could get a cnc kit of parts from Messrs Belair , I think I could be tempted to build one, it's a nice sized model needing a pair of .40-.50 4s!
  7. Very neat Adrian, hope when you build the new 1000w version you'll post a build blog on here, please!
  8. Hi Fabrice, you might have a bit of luck looking at plastic scale modelling groups such as The Official Airfix and Model Making Group or www.scale-models.co.uk. Have you tried your local model shop, they may be able to help or know someone who is capable! Good luck, hope you get it sorted.
  9. Well done Sarah, bet you're one very chuffed bunny , hope the smile lasts til the NATS in May! Photos/vids are better than you led us to believe , again, well done. I know we all muck in and help each other out but to Andy Sephton for his contribution to your success! One day I'll get round to re-starting my West Wings Hawker Seafury!
  10. Good to see you back on track Monz, looking forward to seeing more updates as & when!
  11. That certainly does look like a nice new shiny toy Stevo, lucky you!
  12. Hi Monz, I was hoping that someone more experienced would reply to your query! I brought it just before Christmas for the same price, I'm impressed but then again this is my first sim! I have no regrets about forking out the fifty notes, lots of features, you can adjust the models sizes & characteristics, use your local weather or customise it. Lots of other bits that I've not explored yet! My opinion is yes, it's worth it!
  13. Thanks for the update John, good to know what's going on, or not!
  14. That's what I'm getting now Kevin, hopefully next day or two it'll quieten down and we can get on and download & enjoy!
  15. Bit popular me thinks, John! Edited By Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator on 17/02/2014 19:00:25
  16. I've been trying to download it for the last hour. Edited By Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator on 17/02/2014 19:01:44
  17. I got to about 85% then it stopped, now their servers are busy, try again later!!
  18. Just booted up the sim and advised about upgrade so said yes, and it's v5! Downloading it now so fingers crossed all ok. Edited By Glenn Stratton on 17/02/2014 16:30:23
  19. A photo of it may help to identify what you have Shaun.
  20. Thanks for the link Masher, it looks like a handy bit of kit, will help with the servo fixings too. Hope you have a good maiden with the Mini Jazz, happy landings!
  21. Hi, can anyone help with a setup query, I'm using Hitec Aurora 9, which I'm still getting to grips with! I'v managed to set it up as recommended (I think) using the heli channel & got it running on basic 4 function but I can't see or be able to set retracts, flaps & bombs etc on any other channels. Gliders, powered & heli's all seem to work ok otherwise, flying a craft that has its legs dangling when they should be up is not a pretty sight! Thanks in advance!
  22. My favourite version, Cap 10, elegant and graceful lines, what span size and what power plant/size would you do Peter? Edited By Glenn Stratton on 12/02/2014 09:48:41
  23. You've definitely got more than one fan Masher! Enjoyed your blog, hints and tips. Very nicely finished, great theme and the canopy looks good, have you sprayed/painted the inside of it? Big May I ask where did you get your handy little hole centre tool from?
  24. Hi Kev, it's not, apparently it was on stands! And there are a few other shots around of different aircraft flying through the same hanger!
