  1. The question was worried men ? Its stated elsewhere (most popular brand) that price of main brand rx's has been driven down (USA). So the answer appears to be Yes. Good news if it happens in the UK. John
  2. I am in the wrong thread but you started it Ed's comment on rx prices has got to be good news for everyone, not before time methinks. John
  3. Hello Olly In my opinion no, being a scale model it has one or two quirks, it will tip stall (flaps will help with this). Also the scale u/c makes it prone to nosing over. So being as you said first low wing trainer and I am assuming you don't have a lot of experience i'd go for something else. Black Horse travel air, spacewalker, pulse, lots to chose from. John
  4. P.S. if it is Cermark I had their pitts special, that was great John
  5. Sukhoi's are fantastic W.F Ask it to do something, it does it pronto They will bite if you take liberty's though, if you have enough flying behind you, you will love it. If not rebuild and save for later. John
  6. Thinking maybe put a ply surround on cockpit area, either stain or cover in silver or ali tape, it just seems a bit delicate for my clumsy fingers. What you think ? Weight with rx 4 servo's, U/c and wing covering to go is 1lb 12 oz. John
  7. It looks like it on photo Phil No washout, just camera playing tricks because its above and behind. And I checked just in case John
  8. Posted by Silver Wolf on 11/05/2014 14:13:38: Paid up, roll on October. Perhaps arrange for an informal get together at the Nats? (depending on weather) Slec or Balsa Cabin John
  9. Make a new one, it wont be your last repair, may as well perfect your skills John
  10. Only done ply wingtips today, turned out I only used one strip instead of both, nice and strong John
  11. Hello Darren Best advice I can give you is to take a look in...BEBs Dawn Flyer build, page 2 of 2014 mass build. He explains it very well for the inexperienced and you'll also find a link to some spoked wheels on there. John
  12. Masher got his on higher perch's 3 floors up. John
  13. No problem Balance low wingers inverted Chris, No problem if its secure up front, will take less lead. Flaps if you fancy a dabble but its not needed for that model. It gets easier more you do it John
  14. Hello Chris Almost a pound of lead, that don't sound right, where is your battery ? move anything possible forward, any lead you need to use, bolt as far forward as possible. A prop with less pitch will help slow up your landings. An acrowot is a pretty friendly model you should soon get the feel of it, stick time is what you need. Check the C.G. again a 52 should not need all that lead to balance it. If its way nose heavy it will come in quick. Flaps, airbrakes..its up to you, but you don't need that stuff for an acrowot. Turn it upside down to balance its easier. John
