Very nice Richard, Alan showed me the video last week. ?

Has anyone experienced this. Connects fine then randomly disconnects. At first I thought it was due to my phone being in my pocket, but I left the phone in car and it still happened. We are running FRos one using 1.03.06 and the other 1.03.07 with iXJT update. Any help would be appreciated Steve

Setting up flaps with the Horus X10 Express on Frsky OS
stevan Lewis 1 replied to David Pearce 4's topic in FrSky
Hi Peter, Flaps can be configured in EXMIXER. There is a mini How To on RC groups. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=39808664&postcount=15028 It worked for me so best of luck Steve -
Setting up flaps with the Horus X10 Express on Frsky OS
stevan Lewis 1 replied to David Pearce 4's topic in FrSky
I've done it in the past but have deleted the model. I think I used the left slider and adjusted end points and offset to get the desired effect. I'll try again over the weekend and post results Steve -

Hi John, after my comment this morning I have now looked into the range issue with these receivers. It seems that these r615x are fine for all normal flying just not suitable for long range, ie beyond line of sight, which for both of us is not very far so you should be fine. see you next week Steve

Hobbyking Tundra motor
stevan Lewis 1 replied to Winco Steve's topic in General Electric Flight Chat
I use a Turnigy SK3 3536. 1050kv in mine with the 12x6 prop supplied with the plane on 3s and it flies really well. You can use 4s if you want more speed. Steve (its in stock in the UK) -
Turnigy SK3 3536 1050 rpm/v current rating confusion
stevan Lewis 1 replied to Geoff S's topic in Motor Discussion
The UK one is the new version which is rear mount only. I use ne with a 60amp YEP Esc and 12x6 light wood prop. Never had a problem, it’s a really good motor. Steve -
Thanks again Chris, you were correct. I didn’t realise the sliders were also sticks and only calibrated the primary controls. All now hunky dory. Steve

Thanks Chris, you could be right, I will try it again tomorrow. Steve

I have watched several videos of the sliders on Taranis and they travel from -100 to 0 to +100 when viewing on the monitor screen. When using the sliders on my x10 the travel is only from 0 to +100 and as the slide approaches the end of its travel it goes to 0 but then returns to 28. This happens for both left and right sliders. When I assign flaps these travel to the end but then return some. Is this normal for the x10 and if not should they be replaced? Any thoughts most welcome to help me with this issue. Also is this a FrOS issue as opposed to OPENTX. Steve

Hi RC, I think Brian has the 1580mm one on sale now. I’m pretty sure Hobbyking only sell this version at the moment. Steve

I found that thread useful as well. Some of my parts were poorly cut leading to a few dramas, but now it’s finished. Not flown yet but is in the queue. Steve

It was my first low winger and was a delight to fly. No bad habits and very easy to land, just keep a bit of speed on in the turns. Rolls are slow and loops easy. I’m sure you will enjoy it. I did however change the undercarriage for a carbon fibre one because if you do bend it as I did it’s impossible to get straight again! If I remember correctly is was the Hobbyking 15cc one sold in the UK warehouse https://hobbyking.com/en_us/carbon-fiber-landing-gear-15cc-size.html Steve

If it’s the 1.6m then 4s 4000mah is plenty. I had the VQ single seat version at 1.58m and about 2.5 kg with battery(400g). I used a Turnigy SK3 3548 840kv and 60 amp ESC. The prop is a 13x6 or 13x8 Turnigy light wood electric. This produces about 750 watts and over 3kg static thrust. Flight times around 7 minutes. Lazy aerobatics are easily accomplished. Hope this helps Steve

I can recommend the Hyperion extra 330 sc 20e. It comes with motor but is ARTF so requires servos and Esc. Excellent for 3d a beautiful balsa plane thats well made and uses 2200 3s lipos. Check it out on youtube. Its now discontinued but Robotbirds have some left.. https://www.robotbirds.co.uk/default/aircraft/semi-scale-planes/aerobatic/hyperion-extra-330sc-20e-kit-only.html. Steve
