  4. How come jeti never seems to have a good rating, ive been reading up on the brand,it seems to have a good review on some forums ive been on!
  5. All the one offs sadly, are no longer with us,in my opinion theres nothing to beat the 70s and eighties era when it comes to stand up,we cant have it like that anymore now due to the politics behind everything nowadays, you have to be so carefull of what you say to anyone, even if it is a joke!!
  6. scrap balsa sanded down mixed with pva, makes an excellent filler, has to be the cheapest!
  7. Hi All,While your on the subject of rx batteries, just a quick question over my tx dx6 battery,is it normal for them to loose voltage after been stood a week, mine has dropped from 8.3,full charge, down to 7.8,has leaving it in a cold garage,in its suitable storage box to blame?
  8. Hi Cris,Ive built two of the super 60s,three and a four channel,i would advise using quarter spruce instead of balsa for the spars front upper and lower on the wing section, ive read on some other sites that this reinforces the wing,i hope it does, because im building another wing now as mine snapped in mid air, lol, wish id of seen that site before i built the four channel version,im also not banding the wings,i am now going to have the wing fixed with two plastic bolts on the cetre section of the trailing edge, and using half inch hardwood dowel coming out of the underside of the leading edge centre section, plenty of people tend to modify this model,i love building,so its good practice, all the best with your build.
  9. What a carry on,i wish i could give HH a good report,my dx6 was sent back to my local model shop,to be repaired under warranty, they sent it to germany, germany then sent it to the usa, then usa said they will return it back to germany, lol, how can the run a business like that, its certainly not good customer service at all, wish id of gone with futaba now,you live and learn!
  10. Posted by stephen grigg 1 on 10/09/2017 11:09:12: my DX6 failed before it was 12 months old.I sent itoff in March. No response whatsoever.2 months later it was returned ,a fault found and repaired free of charge.I cant use it they kept my lipo battery and again no response at my request to return it.So without a Spectrum transmitter most of this year
  11. Can you buddy up from a DX6 DSMX to DX4E?

  13. hi stuart,i am pretty much in the same boat,i have just bought the hobbyzone supercub, rtf, with the spectrum dx4e,its supposed to be the best top selling trainer on the market, priced at about 140 to 165 pounds, very popular in the usa, cheers regards sonny.
  14. Posted by Stuart Wright 1 on 25/01/2017 13:12:17: Hello folks, posting this in the beginner forum because while I used to build and fly planes 20 years ago when crystals and nitrous engines were the norm, technology has moved on so much that I think I need to start again. I was only an intermediate flyer when I had to stop flying. I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive first RTF plane to re-learn how to fly and for my teenage son to learn also. I am short of time these days, so I'll not be able to build in balsa like in the old days. It has to be plug and play. I've seen a few kits with transmitters included. I'd prefer, I think to get a separate, slightly better transmitter for more flexibility going forward. Nothing particularly fancy at this early stage, though. The good aspect is that we have a 3 acre paddock at the back of our house, so I could fly very conveniently. But residents' gardens border it, so the plane would need to be electric. What would you suggest, please?
  15. Hi all,im gonna build the ben buckle super 60 glow three channel, can i take the spectrum radio gear out of my hobbyzone supercub, and just buy an extra servo for the throttle,or am i better buying a complete new set up,i am new to this hobby,as you probably can tell, cheers.
