Bought a second hand Mirus today. love the no nonsense and slightly aggressive lines! the fin looks to say.... FAST!. Ive searched it and found a few vids, looks like it will fly slowish as well as fast. im going to recover it as the current covering is a bit tired. has anybody put legs on it? Would it make a good possible sloper? the engine is a Vego 21 anybody heard of it? some pics

Posted by Don Fry on 22/11/2017 17:29:40: But bottom line does it do an accurate cut on say, a bit of 3mm medium balsa. My last attempt replacement for my current machine was to too big, too fast, and seemed to give a wide cut. Fine on ply. But I don't fancy stumping up on a top notch machine. Only building toy planes. Toy planes? I slap you with my gauntlet and will see you on the lower lawn sir!,,,,

I've had dealings with this seller, he lists almost everything at 99p and if it doesn't reach what his "clients" want he pulls the listing.

Goldwing RC Corvus 60cc ARTF for electric set up
Tom Thomas replied to Adrian Smith 1's topic in Sport, Aerobatic and 3D kits
Posted by Adrian Smith 1 on 14/11/2017 14:48:57: For a while now I have wanted to compare like for like 60cc petrol aircraft with a comparable electric set up. Well I have now taken the plunge with this aircraft from RapidRC Models. **LINK** Pretty much fits the bill. I have not decided on the servos, but something in the region of 25kg at 6 volts is what I am after. Clearly, I am on a budget and I don't want to go silly. On a budget? .......... on a "budget"!........ it ain't my budget mate! -
Is AFJ Panther still stalking the clouds? I knew anytime I saw him and didn't scream toward the ground it was game over! He could have been flying a piper cub with me in a zero n he would still have beaten me!

Posted by Jon Harper - Laser Engines on 11/11/2017 20:25:31: i always use the screen name carosel43 in my games. I ended up with it as the arc carosel was the first model I built myself and 42 other people had the same idea before me The more I think about it the more I'm sure I remember a good nights combat on the valor server with you either coordinating or being part of a bomber fest? We took off from a water borne runway in twin engine bombers, German or Russian I think and had a blast trying to get home. Either that or I need to stop licking the soap What is the current il2 version and how much is it?

Posted by Brian Hammond on 11/11/2017 19:24:21: Hi Andrew , the Radian Pro is very good too,I,ve had mine for years, Brian I found the pro didn't fly as well as the standard Radian.

Were you one of the ones that used to organise mass bomber runs?

Hmmmm doesn't stand out to me? Was a good few years ago mind, I was FS~Cougar. Didn't gel with the squad so I quit. A great sim though.

What was your nick in 1946 Jon? Wonder if we ever duked it out?
-
Years ago I was a member of the FS squad n skies of valor server playing IL2 , amazing online sim. What I think ruined it a bit was all the unofficial "mods" and add ons, yes some made it better but to a newcomer it was very daunting to know what to download to use where etc. When cliffs of Dover came out i never got round to buying it and lost interest, but it's by far the best ww2 sim you'll find.
