    I always use none shrinking dope on sheet.another thing don't over brush it,it dries quickly just brush it on quickly and leave it alone.

    I would use sanding sealer on the balsa first,wet the tissue as you lay it on,I use a hand spray.I buy cheap disposable brushes,I thin the dope 50/50 using thinners 2or 3 coats.Take your time rub down between coats and should be ok.

    Hacker do a motor ,gearbox and the two part spinner,this is what the f3a boys use,but get ready for a shock when you see the cost!

    My Father used to work on Gannets,as he was in the fleet air arm,as child I was amazed by the size of the thing,remember seeing one at an air show at Lossiemouth,I must have been 6-7 at the time.I don't think I have the commitment to scratch build one of these though.

    I think the gannet had two engines and counter rotating props,would make a good model,don't forget the folding wings!

    I wouldn't be tempted to use poly c on veneer,I have tried it and it made the veneer ripple up.I think there must be to much water in poly c.

    I fly my mig on a an 11 blade ba good fan,1400 30c battery,cheater holes are essential.I think a 2200 3s may be to heavy.with this setup it flys well just keep the speed up if not it will go into a spin on a turn.

    Finally got mine flying well,I am using an 11 blade fan from bang good,3cell 1300 battery.First couple of attempts didn't work,cut a much larger cheat hole underneath and moved the c of g slightly forward,she now flies well with a good turn of speed.

    Looking at some of photos of the plan it looks like the tail plane is sectioned,I would check before you go any further better safe than sorry.

    Simon I get 4 mins with the freewing su 35,so you should get the same.
