  1. My copy arrived this morning too!
  2. I got that emai as well but can't remember the password I used for the site.
  3. The engine in my old V12 XJS at 5,000 revs used to sound great!
  4. Hi Rex, Have you checked the CoG since the rebuild as it sounds like its tail heavy now?
  5. Not even September and the October mag just landed on my hall carpet!
  6. Just waiting for Timbo to jump in with his dislike for battery holders used to power our toys!
  7. Just watched a "seven ship" display at Peterhead. Didn't think they would show up as the cloud base was so low. Pretty good though!
  8. Did Sir Paul make a hash of his own song?
  9. I got stung for tax buying something from Hong Kong once. Never did it again!
  10. Ouch, not good to hear! I hope the fisherman is ok and also hope the pilot is well insured. Looks like he may need it!
  11. Mine arrived this morning. Gets earlier every month!
  12. That would have been fun to watch! I think you are right though that a foamie wouldn't have enough weight for wheel brakes to be effective.

  14. As with JC, I use a gas powered iron for these heavier duty jobs. And the facility to heat-shrink without a flame is a plus!
  15. New mag arrived this morning. Two hours to Miller Time
  16. My other half says she enjoys watching me build models from plans and has helped out on various occasions. As far as the cost is concerned, she never asks.
  17. If you can justify the cost then the Building Boards from Great Planes are the best on the market.
  18. Got mine this morning so I'm off to my favourite barstool for a read
  19. Hi Pete, I was looking at the manual for my DSX9 and page 24 covers the Fail Safe settings. Have you tried setting AUX3 to a low throttle setting then going to the Fail Safe screen ans setting AUX3 to FS instead of HOLD? You would then meed to press the CLR button to set the position into memory. Hope this helps. Doug.
  20. I thought you were going to say that the dog had a "passing" interest in your Tx! Should I post this in all three of your threads?
  21. I have several of these SC15 engines and as Peter M says they are generally very good. I haven't tried Taylor plugs though as I use OS8 in all my two-strokes. Ive got quite a collection of SC Engines in both two and four stroke and can't fail them for reliability and performance. One thing I will say though is get an electric starter for the smaller engines as this does help. It's very rare that you could get hold of a "bad" SC Engine, just follow the instructions and you won't go far wrong.
  22. The B-17 model is just as impressive! I can turn my hand to most things but I wouldn't know where to start creating a work of art like that!
