  3. Cymaz, that at would be brilliant, thanks.
  4. Does anyone have the dimensions from the firewall (stand off mount) to the prop driver?, the only dimension not included on the evolution website! i am trying to work out what engine to get for my Seagull Spitfire; the firewall template is for the OS 22GT, but it's supposed to be a 26-38cc plane, so I'd hate the OS 22 to be underpowered, particularly when it's 100 quid more than a mintor or Evo 33.
  5. You can also do a YouTube search for finless bob; highly recommended build and setup videos.
  6. Just ordered their. Baby Blender Bipe, so might report back when it arrives. I do like flite test, they do some very good reviews and I like their approach, puts the fun back into the hobby and all at minimal cost.
  7. Looks a bit like a Tiger Tail or a Daddy Rabbit, both classic pattern aircraft. You would be amazed how well and precise they will fly, probably why there is now a resurgence. If you have the opportunity to get this, get it. My flying buddy in the US can knife edge his Kaos all day long, a similar design.
  8. Very nice, now where the sun gone, I need to fly now!
  9. I had an ASP 61 fitted to a H9 Pulse XT40, it flew perfectly fine through all clubman aerobatics without having the throttle at WOT all the time. It was fitted with a MA K Series 12x6 prop. equally, I now have a WOT4 ARF fitted with a evolution 52 2 stroke (fantastic engine) on a 12x6 APC and with a Genisis quiet throttle pipe. It's really quiet, but has a crazily excessive amount of power and most of the time flys at 1/2 throttle. The ASP 61 FS from my Pulse would have flown this fine. i'd also add that reading US forums does not give a balanced view, having lived their for 2 years and flown there at least 2 days a week. They overpower everything. After all, the plane is supposed to fly on the wing, nit be dragged through the sky irrespective. Edited By Reno Racer on 28/05/2014 07:06:40
  10. BTW the 11 blade Wemotec Midi Evo fan was tested yesterday in the airframe. It's very quiet for an EDF and very jet sounding. I also noticed that that front intake is like a 1500 watt vacuum cleaner and nearly sucked in my plastic bag of parts - I'll have to watch that! Don,t want to hover up the grass at the field or worse, a small animal!
  11. A bit more progress on the RBC Kits Gloster G40 designed by Ton. Glassed and painted, major decals applied and some panel lines done. I decided to build a scale looking take off dolly, but I check it works first before added any more work to this. Pilot, although not exactly period, is really good quality. It was a HM forces RAF pilots from a few years ago. Cut his legs off, but I bought 2 complete with all fast jet clothing etc on Ebay for 16 quid.

  15. I'm keeping it light, just aileron and elevator ( 16g MG servos) and either bungee or dolly take offs, power is by the new Wemotec 11 bladed Midi Evo fan, 100 A ESC and 2x 3S 4000mah Lipos. Weighing about 4 lbs with over 1200 watts of power should make for jet like performance, even without using all throttle stick travel ( which will also reduce A drawn and thus increase duration). aiming for first primer coat this weekend! followed by more sanding! more sanding, then more painting.
  16. Not a lot of info on this kit, only a few YouTube videos (mostly converted to P20 turbine). This is my second kit of this aircraft. Although about 7 years ago since my last build, it all came flooding back and thus only took a month to build, glass and get ready for first primer coat. More to keep Ton happy than anything, since he designed the kit ( and it is very well designed- a laser cut jigsaw puzzle), here's a few shots of her to date.
