  1. David what makes you jump to the conclusion that it's a carb issue? If it was running ok as you said before it's unlikely to be a carb as P.P. has said carbs are very reliable and if faulty are usually so from the get go.Have you checked for spark? If you store your models dry the two flap valves on the pump diaphragm are inclined to curl up and eventually render the pump inoperative. Broken or leaky reed valves are another possibility as are crankcase and or bearing leaks as two stroke motors are very dependant on secondary compression within the crankcase. 2. BT and Yahoo went their separate ways several years back ??
  3. I don't know if it will apply with an electric installation but on the larger petrol models the carbon spinner backplates have been known to soften with heat causing prop bolts to loosen with drastic consequences. I got one for my 2.6 metre Edge but luckily had a spare aluminium backplate which luckily mated with the spinner body. This may not apply to your electric set up as I have no idea how much heat they generate, it's all looking great by the way your build logs always make for a good read
  4. Has to be steerable if you want decent ground handling, in any sort of crosswind with a castoring tailwheel your model will simply weathercock into the wind
  5. The tailwheel's the same as Goldwing supply I just used a longer ball link epoxy'd into the rudder and just left the rod straight on my Slick 540, ground handling is excellent
  6. Tygon fuel tubing in a petrol tank only tends to harden if you drain your tank/s between sessions personally I always leave petrol in my tanks, even If was going to lay up my models for the winter I would still leave petrol in and drain and re-fill come the spring, not an issue for me as I fly all year round. If you must drain for whatever reason viton tubing for your clunk/s is the way to go
  7. Karbonite geared servos are not recommended for petrol models at all, karbonite will shatter under vibration
  8. If you get dodgy emails purporting to be from Paypal forward them to [email protected] they have their own investigation department specifically to deal with scammers
  9. BEB take a Leaf out of my book and not a Nissan one, find a pre 1966 car in reasonable nick and you can run it MOT and Tax free just insurance needed. ................Crazy days we're living in, I'm outta here
  10. You can't buy Photoshop as hard copy any longer you have to go the hire route if you want it. But Gimp is very close to it and free to download   P.S. be prepared for a fairly steep learning curve, but there are numerous online tutorials !! Edited By Ultymate on 11/10/2018 22:09:24
  11. A couple more shots from Deeside MAC Nathan Farrel Jones' Hawk and Will Bertoni's Monocoupe powered by a 160 cc 7cylinder radial
  12. A Camel on a late in the day mission, model owned and built by a fiend Roger Salmon
  13. I've just bought and kitted out a Goldwing's Slick 540 60 cc size, have only got three flights on it so still sorting things out. It's very light for it's size but well constructed with plenty of glue visible in critical areas. The only niggle to date is the covering has had to be tightened a couple of times but this is not unusual in most ARTF's I've found. It fly's well on a DLE 55. I bought it from Big Planes in the Netherlands and even with carriage it cost less than I could find it in the UK and they also had stock

  15. Usually caused by a wooden prop over compressed and not re-tightened, once loose the rotational shear stress leads to the inevitable
  16. Yep I'm of same opinion, judge the pilot before any restrictions get put on, large petrols, large scale tricky to fly stuff, small quickies that go like a bat out of hell etc etc. Some B flyers about, you wouldn't like to be near on a field. In this case you must surely worry about the veracity of the examiners that gave the flyers their "B" certificates in the first place Edited By Ultymate on 12/05/2018 09:59:54

  20. If you're going to try a prop on that motor Dan, don't overload it they love to rev and sadly they love nitro
  21. Coming along great Dan ! A buggy 21 will turn a prop if you can cobble up a prop driver, I did it with an OPS when I was racing buggies
