  1. I'll be very interested in one of the kits as a B variant, I had your last foam wing p51 kit from you a few years back now, its almost built! Many other models got in the way plus selfemployment and now a divorce all slow things down I have a Topflite P51d with laser100 which is very nice to fly, film covered so as light as it can be, the B version is going to get a 60fs so a new laser cut one in electric would fill all moods and roles plus I have a mr rc sound system doing nothing too Get those kits out Richard please
  2. The Gyron is lovely Steve, my first "rc" model was a Gyron bought form the local diy shop back in 1981, converted it to use my channel futaba buggy radio and an os10fsr but never got to fly it, was gifted a built trainer and learnt on that. Always mean to build another one but with no plan supplied I went for a Belair Half Tone from the Nat's couple of years ago. Did you build it from a kit?
  3. Some of you might be interested in Absolute Radio 40's today. Just for VE day Absolute radio have created a new station playing 40's music, news clips and memories of the day, find it at the Absolute radio app and online, some lovely old music to build that new warbird to eh?
  4. Pegasus models has in stock today 3 different versions of the balsa USA 1/4 scale j3 cowl.
  5. Alex, I too inherited a Pilot Jungmann earlier this year, mine came with a super tigre 3250 in it, originally it was built around a tartan twin glow (44cc flat twin 2 stroke) I've not had time to get it flown this year and I'm not sure it has ever flown on the current engine but having run it up I've no doubt it will be adequately powered. Mine weighs around 18lbs I think so is very lightly loaded with all that wing area, plus I know the builder also built and flew a flair tiger moth on a laser 150 and that was just fine, overall the models are similar in size although the bucker has a fatter fuselage. I've searched for a c/g for the jungmann but drew a blank but it does balance very close to plans drawn for all the smaller version of Jungmanns and Jungmeisters that I can find so I'm hopeful it will be fine as it is. This is mine.
  6. I hope you pass on my emails too Jon, I've got 2 models here ready to fly and waiting for lasers and another will be started after the nats!
  7. Morning all, I'm looking for info on the Pilot 1/3.5 Jungmann from the early eighties. I really need a CG range and elevator movements would also be very handy as the elevators no doubt are very powerful, I've looked around but can find very little info and only a couple of videos of models flying. The model was built in around 81-82 and started life with a Tartan twin 44cc glow but now has a new Super Tigre 3250, the Tartan kept having bearing failures (think they were needle roller on the conrods?) It was built by my lifelong friend Tony Grubb who taught me to fly back then and I remember seeing it being test flown as an 8 year lad it was very impressive! Tony died just over a year ago and his widow wanted the model to continue to fly which is what I've promised her but I need more info, I've no doubt the current balance won't be far off but with no plans or instructions I'm guessing a bit and comparing it to other Jungmann plans of different scales which isn't the best. Hopefully someone will have some first hand knowledge of the design.
  8. Posted by Adrian Smith 1 on 13/05/2018 16:53:08: I would have said PTFE joiner instead of silicone joiner, Antony. Purely because I don't think silicone can stand the heat and most petrol engine manifolds, with accessories, all come with PTFE joiners + clips. Edited By Adrian Smith 1 on 13/05/2018 16:53:34 It was supplied by just engines with the canister and manifold and listed as high temp silicone. Whatever it was the whole set up worked fine with no failures. It fact I was so impressed I bought the same setup for another 2 models and again no problems over many gallons until I sold the models.
  9. Frank, a few years back when I was running ST3250’s at Marcle I managed to get them under 82 running Beila 18x10 carbon props and large canister style silencers from just engines, I don’t remember if the canisters were made to my spec or off the shelf but they were around 60mm diameter baffled with 2 outlets, simple 90 manifold and high temp silicone joiner, they were steel though as I had one of the mounting brackets fail and had it welded locally, also used Dubro soft mounts and never had a problem, had many comments about how quiet the big st’s were and also how fuss free they were when everyone else said they were rubbish.
