  1. I have a Precedent Lo Boy kit (minus instruction diagram). If anybody is interested £120.00 (plus shipping).
  2. Funny how it always seems to happen at the end of the week and over the weekend.
  3. Had trouble logging on about an hour ago. Ok now though.
  4. Still waiting for the Daffys to bloom up here. Havn't seen my crocus either. I think they have drowned this year. The snowdrops are looking for something that floats to hang onto !!!
  5. The SZD Foka 4 plan. If anybody can tell me a way to attach the parts of the fuselage plan to form a full plan without having a second copy of the plan, I would be glad to hear. If anyone has sent off to Sarik for a second plan, can they tell me if they have recieved a "full" plan or just a copy of what was in the magazine. Also, if you read the caveat printed on the plan you are not allowed to copy the plan without written permission. I assume that includes tracing it so that you can join the parts together. So. Is it a free plan ? Or is it part of a plan that you have to purchase another from the publisher (or their agent) in order to build the model. If that is the case are the pubishers in breach of advertising law regarding "free gifts" (as stated on the cover of the magazine). Please note that there is no mention in the caveat regarding "for commercial gain". Yes, I am being pedantic. However many years ago free plans were printed in such a fashion that the parts could be cut out (once templates had been made) in order to build from them. Ther is no reason why this could not have been done with this plan. After all, it is a 4 sheet plan ! This is not the first time that this has happened. Maybe the cost of employing a proof reader is too much for the publishers to bear ? I did notice that there was a similar "screw up" recently in the Model Boats Magazine regarding a plan. Are standards dropping, or is it that the editors are under such intense pressure ? Please note that this post has been created with tongue firmly in cheek as generally I find the magazine to be of good quality. Sometimes we all need a kick up the bum !
  6. In that case you will be "short" of the rest of the wood. 🤣
  7. Just thought I would mention it. I have had some really good deals on these auctions . These are the places that ebay sellers get their stock. I picked up a westfield F86a kit a couple of weeks ago for £45.00 (including all charges). Also a Dancing wings Tiger Moth 1400mm wingspan for £38.00.
  8. Not my "thing", but probably of interest to diesel lovers. Engines
  9. According to The Oxford Dictionary the word "aeromodeller" does not have a description. Looking back through the history of model making it would appear that the word has been "lifted" from the model making magazine bearing that name dedicated to those making and building model aircraft. In much the same way that Rappers get their name from the type of music they produce (if you call it music !). "Aeromodeller" is now a generic term referencing all those who partake in the producing and / or usage of flying models, whether they have wings or don't. Whether you like it, or not. ☺️ At the end of the day they are all "toys" So do you play at toy building, or toy flying ? I do both (and boats). I suppose it depends if you are a serious obsessionist, or just enjoy playing with toys. I know which I am. 🤣
  10. Ok. Being pedantic, but by the same standards anyone building model aircraft could be considered an aeromodeller. That would include anybody making static modells from scratch, or plastic kits and they probably outnumber flying modellers by at least 100 fold.
