  1. When that mouse steps out of that cockpit I'll give him "Wot 4"
  2. Err English Electric Canberra PR9 XH134 (G-OMHD) is for sale, last  flew 2014 and is serviceable subject to an annual inspection. VTTS seem to want to find a job for themselves with the public picking up the bill. Edited By Keiran Arnold on 19/05/2016 16:58:35
  3. Hmm Converted to a JU88C4 and I think I might be waiting for this one.
  4. In his tribute to the lost astronauts Ronald Ragan quoted from High Flight by John Gillespie Magee. Magee is buried in the war graves nr RAF Digby 400yds from where I live.
  5. John, there are Hunters still flying Hawker Hunter Aviation at Scampton are still flying "The HHA fleet of aircraft, which is used for various Aerial Support activities on behalf of the Defence Community, is operated on the UK Military register. The Military Type Airworthiness Authority has not imposed any restrictions on the normal operation of military registered Hunter Mk58 aircraft, which are exempt from the CAA temporary grounding order affecting civil registered Hunter aircraft."
  6. Well my choices are: Airspeed Oxford II Hawker Fury Miles Magister
  7. The VOC always seemed to me to be about themselves - I for one am not sad to see the end of this venture (although its always sad to see any aircraft type grounded) Perhaps now there will be more money donated to some of the historic aircraft that have slipped under the "radar" but played as important role in defending this country over the last century.
  8. Select the home tab scroll down to rcme extras & select, its at the bottom of the downloads
  9. Given the issues of F22 OBOGS I'll settle for another 6 Sqns of Typhoons please.
  10. Heaven Help us a Plumber This should keep you happy **LINK** Joking aside welcome. I too was at Laarbruch on the Harriers until they returned to the UK
  11. Yes I really rate my perma grit tools too, my LMS used to hold stock until they closed. Tony there is a long list of dealers on their webpage- or you could as suggested buy at a show- although they are just down the road from me I always end up buying from them at the Nats.
  12. Tony, at the risk of stating the obvious try the Perma-Grit website.
  13. Andrew, The panel behind the cockpit is a Frangible Panel - Should the aircrew need to jettison the canopy it alows the canopy to "cleanly hinge" back away from the Navigator (WSO).
  14. No John, It was Thursday, i was expecting there to be an anouncement when 558 was near but we heard (and Saw) Nothing
  15. Thats odd nobody I know at waddo saw or heard it- Station tannoy didn't mention it either unlike when VeRA came over on Tuesday
  16. Hmmm didn't see it come over Waddo perhaps we were not an important enough Vulcan base to warrant a visit.
  17. Paul Are you going to put that picture on the front door to scare the local kids off?
  18. Vulcan Lancaster Lancaster Hawk Hawk Dream formation as 100 Sqn are providing two A/C as well (in 95 aniversary Camoflage)
  19. I must remember to step outside the hangar and watch them . If you include XM607 that will be 2 Lancasters and 2 Vulcans
  20. Jos, in answer to yor question about security- the Threshold is about 100m from the A15 (which is where the most of the people are on or near) it is a public road so there is right of way. As an additional point the runway at waddington is wider than nornal so often aircraft will land very close to the threshold as they will slightly understimate their height due to the optical illusion caused by the wider runway.
  21. HI John, Yes it was, they were all flying at the Wadington Air Show at the weekend Edited By Keiran Arnold on 07/07/2014 12:19:01
