Chris Card Posted April 1, 2010 Share Posted April 1, 2010 A similar thing happened at my club a couple of years ago. A powered glider appeared and made a perfect touchdown in our patch. We were all confused as to who was flying it and further investigation revealed some contact details inside the airframe. Turns out the guy had taken off from another local club, lost orientation and flown out of range. Imagine the chances of it landing at another model flying club of all places! It could easily have been Heathrow airport, which is also nearby. The comment from his wife when the home telephone number on the piece of paper inside the plane was called? "Oh, not again!"
