Tucano canopy - same as PC 9?

I have been looking, with no luck, for a canopy for my Seagull PC9,  I do not know if my eyes need testing, but is a Tucano the same as a PC 9? I have looked at a few pics and think the are very similar  -  OR am I bonkers!!

you have been looking for a while Phil.  Have you thought about making your own?

They very similar Phil, try the tucano canopy if its cheap enough! These are popular planes so I am sure the odd one crashes now and again, maybe someone will have a not so crunched canopy left?

I don't know what size your PC 9  is but see if the size of the Tucano canopy offered by Vortex Vacform  would fit   http://www.vortex-vacforms.co.uk/canopies.htm

They're very similar Phil,  but certainly not the same! 

 

The PC9 (talking full-size of course,  not models!) is built by the Swiss company, Pilatus Aircraft and the Shorts Tucano is a development of the Brazilian Embraer EMB312 Tucano.

 

Both aircraft were in competition with each other to replace the Jet Provost as the RAF's jet trainer - the Tucano won.  So as they were both developed for the same role it's possibly not surprising that they look more than a little similar.
