Dan Hedges
Hi All, I have just ben given an old OS .15 engine that was lying in someones shed for years. It turns over and seems to have plenty of compression, however it is covered in dried old oil and fuel. What is the best thing to use to get it clean? Is there anything that should be avoided? Dan. John Privett
OK Jo, here's how I did the link. First I went to the 2nd page in "IC Engines" with the links to various topics. I hovered over the "Best way to...." (or whatever the exact title was!) link, right-clicked and selected "Copy Link Location". This is with Firefox - other browsers may have slightly different wording. What that does is to copy the "http://modelflying(etc)" link to the clipboard. Next, back to the thread (this one) I'm replying in, and at the relevant place in my reply I click on the link at the top of the reply box that looks like a piece of chain. It's immediately to the right of the smiley link and just to the left of the "broken chain" link. And if you hover over it, it displays the tooltip "{InsertLink}". In the dialogue box that now appears, click in the box labelled "URL" and paste (Ctl-V, or right-click and "Paste".) This drops the "http://modelflying(etc)" link that was copied to the clipboard earlier into the box. Then in the large box labelled "Title" type whatever description you want, "this link" in my example. Now click OK and the job's done!
