Gt Orme fly-in!

Recommended Posts

Hi Craig, and welcome

Not sure about slope sites in Llanrwst, but its only 20 minutes to the Orme from there!

Email me via the forum, and I will be glad to hook up with you for some flying on the Orme when you visit. No - one I know of at the Orme uses 27Mhz, and I am on 2.4Ghz so you should be fine.

Get an old innertube and cut it round & round & If neccessary add another one Then add a length of twine about 4-6 times the unstretched length of your rubber & go for it ! Experiment ! Good fun & you're bound to learn about trimming as well . Good luck !   My first bungee was a Lancaster innertube .Yes Lancaster !(don't mention just post-war)

Well I sliced one up and doubled it over and to be honest it could probably sling a full tin of beans quite far if I made it into a catapult, but so far I reckon it could work...

Its raining up in Scotland so Im not going to try it out but the elastic is quite stretchy like a 1" elastic band and could snap if pulled hard enough, I'm not sure if the speed at which it travels is going to be ok though as it flys real quick unloaded...
