Flanker .
I have just heard a rumor about a guy why reputedly sat astride his large petrol job (trainer style) and flew himself around the field TX in hands ! This sounds daft but scaryley possible.Has any one else heard of this, or better seen it done ? I am wondering if we have an aero/urban myth here. I am interested because of a vid I have posted on Flankers Faves (checked it yet?) involving a French Cri Cri which is a model that you can get into. nasa_steve
hi sounds like an urban myth to me it would have to be almost full size to have lifted him for a start and certainly a bit mad to boot. why sit on something of that size when you could just as well build a full size plane??regardsnasa
Flanker .
Yeah thats what I thought until I saw the Cri Cri, check out My Vids page and you'll see what I mean !http://www.modelflying.co.uk/forum/forummessages/mps/dt/4/UTN/1543/V/6/SP/

Malcolm Till
I havee discovered a site called Metacafe.com which has a video (hoax) of a man flying underneath his friends RC aircraft. if you go to metacafe.com type rc in the search field this will take you to a huge No of aircraft and other related rc stuff. if you then page down 5 or 6 pages you will see one titled man tied to aircraft. its a spoof but quite funny. i bet you won't be able to resist looking at some of the other vids too.kind regardsmalcolm
Doug Ireland
Don't know where the idea that the Cri Cri is a model came from. It is a single seat home built aircraft that is a joy to fly! The only problem is needing a multi-engine rating on your license to fly in controlled airspace.

Paul Moore
Try "You Tube" and type in Cri Cri, a few there and quite amazing. Well worth a look. LMA have bigger models than that!
Paul Moore
Oh, the plane is in fact french, designed by Michel Columban and first flew in 1973.I want one so I can teach the wife to fly in it (he he he).
Doug Ireland
I got the chance to fly one at an air show in Tolouse in the early eighties, scared the be-jeezus out of me!
Flanker .
And that is the point the Cri Cri is a model that you can get into. As someone said the LMA fly bigger models, I don't know about engines though, what arew the Cri Cri's motors Doug?

Phil Claridge
i watched two Cri Cri fly at goodwood back in 1976 they parked two cars with small trailers on the runway then 15 minutes later the two planes took off and gave us a very good show within ten minutes after landing they were packed and gone
Doug Ireland
Hi guys, have a look at this! http://flight.cz/cricri/english/
Paul Moore
Yehhhh. Wicked and great. Surprising that no one has followed up on it since then as I know of no other design for so small a man carrying plane - - - - unless someone out there knows differently.
