Tiny flyer
How would you people go about sticking it on, duct tape or something?
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Hi TF - can you read this please before posting any further links in posts. Thanks BEB
John Privett
TF - quite a lot of us have these cameras, there's probably several threads about them if you have a dig around. And a very useful site with loads of info on these cameras is Chuck Lohr's site. I got my camera about a year ago for just under £8.50, I've seen reports of them going for £6 or £7 these days. There's also a new version that works in HD - though that one sells for around £25. Still amazing value for what you get! I've flown mine on a glider, just attaching it with a few elastic bands. ericrw
Don't just rely on Duct tape or Velcro. Attach it with Catgut, fixed to the model. Eric.
Tiny flyer
No worries, to anyone wanting a camera i can honestly reccomend them, had it in my car today, even through my windscreen the quality is good
BB
I use these often. They are suseptable to vibration on i.c. models. Leccy planes suffer less vibration issues. Normally attached with hook&loop (velcro) then tapped down with insulation tape. Tied to the plane with some fishing line, in the event it comes off the plane, the camera isn't then lost. The mic is quite sensitive and I sometimes use them just for the sound recording. Photos ain't bad either. Highly recommend this little unit. Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Yeap, same as BB, I use double sided velcro and a loose tie on "just in case"! Mine wont actually work on an IC plane at all - I think the vibration cuases some problem either with the memory card or battery connection. Works well on electric powered models though.
