Stephen Jones
Not sure how many of you may have seen this one before, But with all this bad weather we have been having thought this might cheer a few of you up. Just watch the grass it is hardly moving Yet the model is flying on a breeze. Here is wishing for warmer calmer weather. Steve. Jonathan M
Posted by avtur on 09/09/2018 23:28:39: Anyone seen this YouTube channel from a guy called John Woodfield. >> He appears to specialise in own design slop soarers, very therapeutic to watch.>> Just beautiful - Cornwall apparently. Steve Houghton 1
Yep, John has been making these videos for a while now and is a prolific builder, primarily of vintage looking 2ch slope gliders, although he does fly PSS and other sport models also. Steve Houghton 1
So with Coronavirus travel restrictions of 5 miles still in place in Wales, I'm unable to drive to my local slopes for some gliding therapy, but has this stopped me from flying? Steve Houghton 1
Here's my latest video with a group of us flying at The Bwlch in S. Wales. One of the guys flying his latest model, a Valenta SB9 hits a huge patch of sink. Watch what happens next.
Steve Houghton 1
Hi all. There wasn't enough wind to warrant a trip to the slope last weekend so a friend invited me to go along and fly at his club site, Eglwysilan MFC near Pontypridd for a thermal soaring session, and what a good day we had. I managed to maiden my Streamline 350 also

Phil Green
How about a bit of retro? Single-channel, Reeds and GG slope-soaring: and Galloping Ghost in flat-calm conditions at Ivinghoe: and finally, teaching Grandaughter Chloe to launch: Edited By Phil Green on 03/09/2020 13:19:
Steve Houghton 1
Grab yourself a cuppa & choccy digestive, sit in your favourite comfy chair for 20 mins and enjoy the gliding antics from the best slopes in Wales, and arguably the UK, apart from Rhossilli possibly. Stephen Jones
My £20 Chuck glider. The Bolt in strong wind at pule hill. The wind was not hitting the slope right to give good lift and i had to put a ton of lead in the model. At least i managed to get a flight or two on the slope. Steve. Tim Ballinger
Saw Impala in the thread s thought I would add mine. It was built in the late 70s but sat in my loft for 40 + years . Converted to electric power in 2018 but finally had its ( and mine) maiden on the slope earlier this year. Thanks to Roger for the coaching!
