Tony Bennett
well i sold my soal to the great god visa and bought some more balsa wood. so i have managed to get a bit more done today. the wing and lower fuselage bolts on now and i have done some more planking to the fuselage. slowly starting to look like a viscount now. Tony Bennett
The viscount has got to the point where i need to spend money on motors and retracts, so it has gone on hold till i can save up for the bits. let me get some paid work done for a couple of weeks and we will be back on the build. or i could sell a couple of models. Concorde Speedbird
Interesting, I like the old British airliners that led to a certain white arrow shaped airliner! Nice build, keep at it! CS
Tony Bennett
Playing with the nose gear at the mo. not enough room for twin doors and a servo, well not on this small one anyway. The next one could be a tad bigger, like twice the size.
kevin b
Hi Tony. Why not vac-form the nacels, then you will only need to make one ? You would only need to fair them into the wing with something like blue foam to save weight. Kevinb.
Tony Bennett
its an idea, be another skill to add to the increasing list. hope to be picking up the motors at the nats, so we will be able to crack on next week.
Concorde Speedbird
What size is she? You could make a museum out of all the planes you build, the Hurricane squadron, a Lancaster, Cirrus Moth, this etc etc etc. CS
Tony Bennett
60" so its quiet small.

Concorde Speedbird
Good Hope you had a good time! Quite small, you need to do a 120" span one with two IC engines! Or a Concorde... (I'm obsessed!) CS
Tony Bennett
takes 4 motors. naa no concorde for me, its old hat. needs to be something brand new.

Wingman
Hi Tony - a bit OT but have you managed to get anymore done on the Vickers 163 lately?
Tony Bennett
errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm nope. i have stopped starting any new projects and am slowly clearing up the unfinished jobs. 163 is after the viscount, it needs a re think on the wing fixing as my skill level has improved from when i started it.
