Phil May
Morning fellow Speedo owners. A quick question. What have peeps done to they're Speedos to beef up the area under the wing seat. I'm looking to do this before I assemble it. Cheers all Phil
Eamonn Fahey
Had a terrible image of you in Speedos then realised you were asking about a model!
Conwy Soarer
I have had no problems with this area on mine, I think porr QC/QA might mean that some are stronger than others, mine has had some abuse and never had any issues. Now my Flying Fish and Eliminator SR are prone to problems in this area and have had to been beefed up. On my FF I glassed in two carbon rods either sid of hole running parallel with wing chord seems to work and is not too much of a faff to do.. Err, nothing! I bought mine about a year ago and I believe changes had already been made in the manufacturing process to strengthen that area compared to earlier versions. twinstar
After cracking mine, i added a few bits of spare carbon fibre rod, about 3 or 4mm thick, and about 7 or 8 cm long, epoxied in, either side of the opening for the wing servo wires. worked a treat fuz was strengethened in the mark 2 but the mark 3 is strenthened even more.
