David Tweddle
Now for a foam cutter plan and PSU, any help here please. Or advice as I heve seen the cheapo cutter kits (Ebay), are they any good/use to us. David

WolstonFlyer
I don't think a hot wire foam cutter will be much use in this instance. The foam board has a heavy paper / card bonded to both sides, this is what the red design is printed on, the foam core is just under 5mm thick. The board does cut nicely with a scalpel or sharp craft knife / Xacto knife. The idea is to make a model that shows off the RCM&E and FoamFing logo

David Ashby - Moderator
Yes you will be Gary. I'm working my way down the list a few at a time (although I've missed Martian). Will get some more out next week. Does anyone get to TJD Models? I'm sure they wouldn't mind me leaving some there for collection. David Tweddle
Posted by digitalflyer on 26/09/2013 16:09:27: Thanks DF got your messages - have replied accordingly - the cutter is not for the foam fing its for a bag of polyc foam - good source of expanded - domestic appliance shops have to pay to dispose of it - but watch out for mother in laws who use it for flower pots. Robin Kearney
Hi all, just thought I'd mention that Hobby Craft have an offer on at the moment where you can get three A2 boards of the same material for 6 quid. Just incase you need some extra for your creations. Also the Flitetest boys have made many models out of this stuff, their build videos might be helpful to those, like me, who have never used foam board before. One such build is below. David Tweddle
I thought I had Won a signed photo from Planet Rock today but no much more usefull, David thank you for my Foam Fing also looks better in life. Glue, tape any help please. David
Robin Kearney
David, I've been using hot glue in my experiments, seems to hold well. Although the flitetest guys use strong parcel tape where they need a lot of strength. The sort with a weave to it from the looks of the videos. r. David Tweddle
Thanks Robin for that I have also seen that the foaming type glue is good and lite so is Gorilla the right type. David
