I don't think a hot wire foam cutter will be much use in this instance. The foam board has a heavy paper / card bonded to both sides, this is what the red design is printed on, the foam core is just under 5mm thick. The board does cut nicely with a scalpel or sharp craft knife / Xacto knife.

The idea is to make a model that shows off the RCM&E and FoamFing logo

Hi all, just thought I'd mention that Hobby Craft have an offer on at the moment where you can get three A2 boards of the same material for 6 quid. Just incase you need some extra for your creations.

Also the Flitetest boys have made many models out of this stuff, their build videos might be helpful to those, like me, who have never used foam board before. One such build is below.
