I think that's everyone, let me know if I've missed you.

Can folks kindly drop me a PM if you can collect yours at the Nats from the RCM&E tent and I'll bring it along, thanks.

Just touching on strength and the concern about brittleness. I've not tested a sheet to destruction but, whatever you make, it'll be sensible to re-inforce your flying surfaces, perhaps using balsa, hardwood strips or carbon.

Advert

Olly, this was in the Radio Control Fun Fly Special published by Argus which is undated but seems to be 1987
So not actually in RCME and older than the online archive.
It's just in the archives of us anoraks who have 26 year old magazines!

is there a competion arranged for this little project? I remember many years ago there used to be a comp. arranged by postal times in a magazine. the name of which one passes me by but i am going back to the 60s 70s era free flight ( chuck glider or cat launch i think) how about a 049 free flight limited engine run? just a thought

I did think about a comp Keith but decided not to, just to keep things relaxed and low-key.

Terry - thanks, you're on the list.

best way i think david. just for fun is best, some people get a real cob on sometimes when they dont agee with the judges decision. remember the times when heated arguments used to get under way between flier and timekeeper? best not to return to those times anyway really looking forward to this as it will be my very own first design after nearly 40 yrs. of building and flying wink

Thanks Ian, I'll add you to the list.

Postage - well, thanks for the offers folks. I was hoping to save a bundle by delvering some at the Nats but, after this, I'll pack one up and see how much it'll cost to send, then go from there.

Please let me know though if you'll be at the Nats.
