Mowerman
In the past I found that dis connecting Deans cunnectors was getting more difficult due to reduced sensitivity in my fingers (old age creeping in) also made worse in coldweather. A change to XT 60s helped but cold weather still caused prodlems als it still needs two hands to pull the things appart and hold the model at the same time. The solution I came up with was to drill the connectors and fit loops of tape or cord. To make it even easier the female can be fixed to the model with either 3mm nylon screw or cable ties then one hand holds the model and the other simply pulls the male out. Bob Cotsford
I'm glad you said a NYLON screw, a metal one could be very entertaining! Brilliant idea by the way

Masher
Nice idea - obvious once someone has pointed it out! I will copy that and perhaps use a tie-wrap loops through each part Oh and I suppose you should warn people not to drill through if both wires are connected to the battery! Mowerman
Masher A good point although iI have checked and a 3mm drill should clear both contacts but better safe than sorry. The nylon cord I use is the stuff used for light pulls, a couple of early tests used 6mm nylon ribbon from SWMBO's sewing box.
PatMc
Excellent idea, Mowerman. I'll definitely use it on some the ESC plugs & sockets before soldering to batteries but not too sure about risking it on ready made up batteries.
Mowerman
I have always disconnected one lead before drilling.
