Jimbo565
Latest model inspired by Dawn Flyer from an American plan on Outerzone web site. Closed loop system is unusual as both wires run through a snake inner tube to the control surface, works very well with no friction.
cymaz
Neat but not gaudy
Doug Ireland
I can see a potential problem with that set up, the wires could wear through the snake and bind.
Dave Miller
I've used this method many times where I thought it might be difficult to thread the wire through the model after covering. I have used both aluminium tube and snake inners; what I have never tried is running them through a single tube.
Jimbo565
Doug. The amount I fly it will never happen,I tried the cables through the tube before i did the installation and as the designer says its friction free with the wires being plastic coated. Stevo
Absolutely first class. I've always used snakes on closed loop systems - providing the snake is supported well it's one of the best ways!!
Jimbo565
John The designer had an old OS30 in his and it was just bolted to the firewall, did not look great so I cowled mine in just to make it look a bit better, Ran the engine up for the first time yesterday (OS26fs from ebay bargain at £55. ) and it sweet as a Singer sewing M/C AS you say, A sunset flier For the cowl I have used the self adhesive foil from Flair, called Aluclad, works ok but you have to be careful around the corners.
