Engine Doctor
Use the bits that cymaz's link refers to.nearly all of the so called silencers sold don't silence but merely direct the sound. The inserts do quieten the exhaust quite a bit. I have made some and fitted them to a Dle 30 and a Rcgf 15cc they work OK with only a small Loo's of power. Reno Racer
John, this is really difficult and many manufactures don't show comparative noise reductions, say same engine, same prop with standard and their exhuast fitted. a couple i have found works. i have a BCM inverted fitted on my 1/4 scale Nieuport. that is very effective. engine is RCGF 26cc, which has the same bolt mount dimensions as the dle20. i have an OS 22GT and the supplied wrap around OS muffler is superb. i think its the same mount dimensions (check) and you can buy them seperate. i have also heard many people find sucess with the wrap around evolution muffler Chris
john stones 1 - Moderator
Cheers Chris, yes some are not very good on noise reduction, the J Tech has a good name though I believe. John
