john stones 1 - Moderator
The win was down to the Irish team, I don't think the English lads lacked effort so I shan't abandon them because they lost one John
Nigel Day
Maybe not effort John, but they did lack a bit of passion and accuracy. How many times did you see a big England 'hit'? Or a big hit at a ruck? Ireland won a few turnovers through going in hard to a ruck. Their kicking from hand was also much more accurate. Perhaps it was the playing at home that did it? Deserved winners though and it looked that way from the opening whistle. I'd hoped for a better performance but the win over Italy was very mixed. Some great stuff but some silly mistakes too. I think we'll need to hope for a Welsh win and that Scotland don't suddenly remember how to play when they face us. Eamonn Fahey
That was a hard game but I have to gloat. Ireland was the better team at the end. The game could have been closer. England did not take advantage of several opportunities. Ireland kicking was more accurate and once the Try went over England seemed to loose the fight. COME ON IRELAND. Michael Ramsay-Fraser
As much as I hate to say it, Scotland hve been dire this championship. It's usually a trial supporting Scotland but this year has gone beyond my worst nightmares. A big task lies ahead of England. 26 points is a big ask. Nigel Day
It's our own fault. We should have scored a hat-full against Scotland but made too many mistakes. It's a good job that we got enough things right to get a good score against Italy. Still, you never know against France. They've got nothing to play for...... Just about anything DID happen. Fantastic match and appropriate that it should finish the way it did - with us on the French line and making a mistake. Can't say that the team didn't give it their all though and amazing to watch. At least we beat Wales.
