John Laverick
Hi Guys, I think I have this configuration correct? Would like a second opinion before I blow 4 batteries up!!! i know I could just get two 8s and parallel them, but I like to utilize all my batteries if I can. Thanks John
MattyB
Yep, all looks right to me - I hope you have a big charging bag/ammo box, that's a lot of power stored up!
Geoff S
That looks OK. The black wire joining the 2 sets of batteries foxed me for a moment but it's just joining the negative of the LH pair to the positive of the RH ones. I prefer circuit rather than wiring diagrams I parallel a couple of 4S 3600 mAH LiPo packs in my Eezy Peezy, mainlky because I needed the extra weight to get it to balance and it's no problem - it also gives nearly 20 mintes flying time/pack. I think doing it your way is better because it gives greater flexibilioty with using your batteries with other modesl that are not quite so demanding of voltage/capacity. Curious, what's the application? Geoff

Simon Chaddock
Isn't the G110 at 1800W is a bit low on power compared to say a DLE-30 at 3.7hp (2700W)?.
John Laverick
Looking at the reviews and the different examples of set ups, the motor seems to be acceptable for my needs. Also a 3700 watt motor will frighten the bloody life out of me!!!
Frank Skilbeck
We ran our Ampley tug on a Turnigy 275kv motor with an 8s battery and an 18x10 prop, it pulled 70 amps or so, around 1800 Watts, the Ampley weighed in at over 6kg and this combo would take it vertical. John, if you are not using them, you might want to consider the Jeti antispark connectors, I use them on all my 6s and above applications. John Laverick
Thanks Frank, that's exactly the set up I'm looking at. I'll get some of those anti spark connectors. I never get used to that big spark, even though I know it's coming!!! Where do you get them from? Thanks John
Stevo
Squeeze one more battery in and you could power the full size

Thanks John I get mine from Electricwingman I use the 5.5mm ones as that's what I have on my SM Modelbau Unisens telemetry sensor. I'm sure it's kinder on the ESC capacitors than just whacking 32 volts straight across them, and it doesn't make me jump
John Laverick
Cheers Frank, I took an ESC out of a plane to use on this one and hey presto it had an anti spark system on I didn't even know I had. As you say they work a treat, gives you confidence to bank your batteries John
