The Futaba 'manual' for the R3008SB receiver says the following; Usage precaution • Futaba T-FHSS Air system does not work with current Futaba TFHSS / S-FHSS / FHSS / FASST / FASSTest system. • The R3008SB receiver can only be used with T-FHSS Air capable transmitters. So, you need a "T-FHSS Air capable" transmitter for that receiver. The T8J is S-FHSS, which is on the "does not work with" list in the manual.
