Denis Watkins
A SAFE receiver will work in any model, but is totally unnecessary in a foamie as they already float safely and have no inertia. Use the SAFE in a heavier more substantial model
John Helling
Hi Percy The EFLR310013 is the safe Rx fitted to the E-Flite apprentice s 15e which provides 3 levels of control and panic mode. Hi Denis Why would it be in a foam trainer if not to help when required, surely the laws of motion and gravity assure inertia in any moving body. I am moving from a 3 channel supercub to a wot 4 foame and wish to give myself a margin of safety. Thanks for the input JH

John Lee
The ESC supplied with the WOT 4 Foam E will work fine with the EFLR310013. The problem you may have is that this receiver is not programmable so must be oriented in exactly the same way as the Apprentice & must drive the servos in the same direction, otherwise the stability system will work against rather than with the model. When you instal the receiver make sure the aerials are aligned as they were in the Apprentice (forward & left). Then when you do the control checks if any surface is moving the wrong way with the default Transmitter settings you must not reverse with the Transmitter to correct but rather turn the servo arm through 180 degrees & if necessary tweak the control rods so they run freely. John Helling
Hi John Thanks for the advice re the Rx. I do fly with a club instructor on a buddy box, he flies his own plane with the safe system as our site has some very unpredictable wind Thanks again John H
