Ashley Gerrald
Can any one tell me how much time it takes from Dover to Dunkerque (France) and the best fares on Dover ferries service to France? Can we book online at cheaper fares?
James Butt
It takes almost 1hr 45 mins from dover to dunkerque and its better than dover calais route. You can book online @ ferry operator's sites and get tickets at cheaper rates.

winchweight
Don't do it Ash, go via the Chunnel! It is way quicker. Every time I've been, we've arrived, checked in, and driven straight onto the train. Within 30 mins we've disembarked (is that right off of a train?) and been on our way. Bob Cotsford
every time I've been across, Norfolk Line has been in the order of half the price of the chunnel trains. Just google channel ferries or something similar
Ashley Gerrald
Yes, I too have travelled long back on Norfolkline, at that time the services were affordable. Can anyone tell me right now how are the current services. Any personal experiences? I'm planning to make my trip in next couple of days. Bob Cotsford
Another vote for Norfolk Line, unless you are in a real hurry to get to the continent. For the sake of an hour, I'll take the relaxed (and considerably cheaper) ferry crossing against the train any time. Can't help with current service as I've not used the ferries this year, but the food's not been bad on Norfolk line in the fairly recent past, as I usually tried to time my ferry crossing so I could eat on the ferry and save a meal break on the other side. Myron Beaumont
Eric Makes me wonder what happened to your narrow boat idea .Are you considering a cross channel service from the north west?
Phil Claridge
the only narrow boat eric can afford right now is a canoe
