Wilson H
could any one help in telling me how to set up flaperons on 7 channel optima receiver. Wing has 2 servos and I just want to activate them as flaps when required having nothing but trouble.
Denis Watkins
It is not just the Aurora 9 WH. The servos too have to be fitted such a way round that they can operate the same way. There are multiple threads for flaperons.
Colin Bernard
Take a look here - very helpful forum. If this doesn't sort it send me a pm and I will send you shots of my set up.

Geoff Jackson
Like you Wilson im having problems with elevons on a Wild Thing and getting flaps off the sliders and onto a 3 position switch with an Optima 9and a Piper Cub. Book not very helpful. Ok for all basic operations and I love the Aurora 9. Could do with a user guide more like the Futaba FF9 guide books! Colin Bernard
Hi - Just taken some shots off my A9 for how I have my Wottie set up with flaperons. First of all the wing is set up with 2 servos... Then the second servo is set up as Ail-2 on channel 5 linked to J1... Finally go into FLAP CON on page 2 of the model options and set up the mix and assign the control to the right hand slider. (Could just as easily be SW(C) for a 3 position option... Hope this helps. Peter Miller
After struggling to do the job and contacting Hitec in the USA I finally solved the problem. I fitted a Spektrum radio instead.

You won't be able to set up flaps on an Elevon setting, and TBH, you don't need them on a Wildthing, or did I read your post wrong? Geoff Jackson
Tks for reply Steve. (And Ken). Just need elevons on the Wildthing. Sorted the Cub flaps this afternoon at the Tyldesley patch with help from a club mate.
