Robert Armstrong 2
Will a 5.8Ghz fps camera work with a receiver/monitor with a circular polarised aerial or does it have to be the straight rubber one? Sorry, this must seem like a really dim question to most of you, but I can't seem to find a definite position searching. Thanks
Andy Meade
They should match both ends - circular transmitter and a circular / patch / helical receiver. You can't use a rubber ducky transmitter with anything other than a similar antenna on the receiver, I believe.

Frank Skilbeck
Just another question from me, do the circular polarised have to be the same type or can you use a 3 branch one with a 4 branch one
Andy Meade
The cloverleaf (3 lobe) and the pinwheel (4 lobe) are to be used together. I can't remember which one goes where off the top of my noggin! I think the 3 lobe is on the vTX. Maybe.
Frank Skilbeck
Andy, thanks, so no problem mixing manufacturers as long as the Rx one goes on the googles and the Tx one goes on the vTx.
Andy Meade
Exactly - I've mixed home made ones with bought items without problems
